I'm still waiting for a decision for our mortgage for a few weeks now. My husband and I have applied through help to buy through a broker and application was accepted 19/10/2020. It went to the underwriter and I was asked to send some documentation of proof of DLA for my son which was sent and accepted 02/11/2020. We got our ATP last week and still waiting for mortgage offer. My broker emailed me today and said its been on the underwriter's desk for just over a week but they still haven't made a decision. I'm guessing we should get good news as we got the loan from the government approved but the anxiety is real right now! Has anyone else been in a similar situation?0

Santander gives their underwriters the option to work on weekends. It’s not a policy unfortunately.I quite agree. The wait is murder.0

I don't enjoy weekends at the moment, it's like a waste of time because of the wait 😂22/09 - application submitted with Leeds BS, long story short, on the 9/11 we've been told that Leeds is reducing the amount they're willing to lend by nearly £20k (turns out our broker FORGOT to declare our child on the application)
10/11 - found another mortgage advisor
11/11 - AIP with Santander (single applicant, shared ownership, 85LTV)
12/11 - all documents sent
13/11 - application with Santander submitted and passed to underwriting. Valuation booked for 23/11
19/11 - mortgage agreed, subject to a satisfactory valuation
23/11 - mortgage offer issued
19/12 - completed1
