When you submit new paperwork (se) how long does it usually take befor you have an update, we are 6 weeks in today. Estate agent keeps ringing being pretty horrible that we don’t have mortgage yet. Although we are still waiting on a search on the house we are buying so couldn’t exchange anyway. Was feeling ok but now anxiety levels through the roof thanks to EA.
Just checked online for you and it says they’re checking docs sent in on the 5th November.

For SE the trend in seeing is that you join UW queue 7 days after you’ve submitted application...first update roughly 23 days after...

We are on - working - day 25 today (minus day of application) and we have heard nothing so far apart from when valuation took place!

You must be really close to the front of the queue now! They may even be dealing with it, what date did you join the UW queue?

I’m not too sure! MB hasn’t said but he seems to think that all we are waiting for is the valuation to get assessed which too place on the 23rd. So I am guessing before this sometime!

Well looking at there timelines, it seems 4:5 working days after...so today or Monday..
  • After nearly 2 months of dealing with them, last week my mortgage was approved "subject to valuation". The Home report was over 12 weeks old at that point, and Santander doesn't accept updated ones.
Yesterday they came back saying that they don't agree with the HR valuation and their surveyor valued the property at £115k.
HR valuation was £130k, all 1s in the report and all comparable properties in the area sold in that region or more.
My MB is disputing that but it seems that the deal is now dead since it's absolutely impossible to raise an extra £15k on time.  :/
MB came back yesterday to say the bank has agreed to proceed with the original valuation of £130k!
Now back to the underwriter for review....
who knows how long till final offer. "logically", since it was already approved before the valuation !!!!!!-up, it shouldn't be more than 1-2 days but, hey, it's Santander we're talking about....

Totally unacceptable for the estate agent to pressure you like that. They all know that the banks are taking longer to process applications.
For anyone who has had their mortgage sorted, how long is the wait from when the underwriter starts looking at the case to receiving an offer? ( if they do not ask more questions). I'm in the queue for the underwriters to have a look on the 12th ( so yday and today according to the status page)  but not sure if i should chase my broker when it hits the 13th or wait longer
30/09 Text From Santander to say App Received
    12/10 Sent to Underwriters Queue
12/11 Now being looked at by the underwriters
