We had an email from our MB saying there are still no updates. They are waiting for Santander to asses the valuation report (which was done on 23rd Oct and given to Santander on 26th). They are hoping that providing everything is okay, once they have assessed the valuation they will the offer us the mortgage, although they aren’t sure when they actually assess it. I am waiting further questioning though considering OH is SE.

It’s so annoying isn’t it. I’ve decided that as we don’t want to move until after Christmas (and neither does the chain) it doesn’t really matter if we get the mortgage offer in December. I think I’ve been putting myself under pressure to want everything done quickly when really it will take as long as it takes! 

I’m going to put my tree up next weekend, 21st, and enjoy one last Christmas here! 

And what will be will be! 

Looking at the tracker is definitely making me more stressed out about it all! Especially as I don’t even know what date my mortgage app went into the underwriting queue! Might not even be there yet!

When was your case sent to the underwriters?

I had my case sent on the 12th of OCT( Yayy, this are checking it today hopefully according to their status page) and my valuation was done on the 21st too

If yours was sent to the underwriters on the 12th. What date did you apply?

Oh brilliant! fingers crossed for you then. I am not too sure, MB hasn’t said. He seems to think it was given to them and approved before the valuation and now that’s all we are waiting for! But I’m not so sure..

No harm asking him, they can easily login and check or ask santander directly

@mowgliisaG am relatively newly employed paye as i was running a startup 2 years previous
