Good luck all you people who are signing up in your droves.  You won't know whats hit you.

Hi.  These really are the new Symbio (crap)

They don't bill you within 6 weeks.  So Ofgem make it quite clear what happens.  The supplier pays you £30.  If they don't you get another £30.  Then the refund should come through within 10 days.  If they dlon't you get another £30.  I am 100% due £120.

    Neon Reef reply....

Thank you for contacting us.  I can confirm the compensation is capped to £60.00.

Therefore, your refund of £X.X (£60.00 compensation included) is correct.

No further compensation will be applied to your account.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

That’s 90 not 120 - I’m quite happy with NR, but thanks for your concern regarding trying to get extra money from a energy company struggling to stay afloat in the current climate

Have energy suppliers somehow become deserving charities now?!
It won't make any difference, it's very unlikely that NR will be around for long anyway.  It's impossible to see how they can possibly be a viable business as they're recruiting new customers to sell to them at a loss.
It's likely that their drive to get new customers is just a case of trying to keep the plates spinning for a bit longer.  More income now to pay the previous overdue bills, producing more supplier bills.  It all works until the number of new customers stops increasing.

Hilarious to quibble over the odd £30 of free money without considering the vast savings on the energy cost. They could overcharge me by £100 and I'd still be better off than with Eon.
After several months I've yet to see my referral credit appear  on my monthly statement though they last assured me it would be "applied as soon as possible" . I await my monthly statements with interest to see if that occurs, but in the current circumstances I will just be glad and relieved  if NF are still supplying me  on their cheap fixed deal  if they survive the storm of the next few weeks and months.
  • I'm hoping my £50 credit shows automatically without having to chase - the same goes for the family members I have recommended to them.

I wanted to switch to them, I have an E7 meter but I am currently on a single rate. However they finally got back to me and said they can't do this. (

They can do it, I have an E7 meter and on single rate tariff as I don't have storage heaters.

Also if Eon kept the 'good' customer service npower had I would rather be with Neon Reef!
