I wonder if management predicted the mass exodus? The price change is nothing more than the reality of the current wholesale market unfortunately.Any electricity supplier with flat rates below 15p/kWh is going to be struggling if they don't raise prices soon.If they have been prudent (and had the capital) they will have bought forward to secure the price of the energy needed for their fixed tariffs, but I suspect most of them didn't have the funds to fully cover their commitments and that will become a major issue once we hit autumn again...

I wonder if this price hike is the reason why they are not honouring the referral credit. I've been chasing it for weeks and they keep saying it will be paid as soon as possible. I suppose I'll have to give up and move on to a different supplier0

Same owners as Utility Point, has everything to do with referral credits and credit refunds when switching out having to be done manually and the number of staff they can afford to employ in relation to cheaper than cheap tariff rates that often get offered.

I hope you've done the sums yourself rather than relied on the PFP website. PFP are notorious because they give fake quotations for Economy 7. They start by giving an 'Estimated Quote', which is a contradiction in terms because a quotation is for a fixed amount, it can't be an estimate. If you then ask for a 'detailed quote', PFP ask only for your total annual consumption and then unjustifiably assume 55% night usage, falsely claiming that this is 'the Ofgem average'. They use this arbitrary amount (far higher than Ofgem's real average of 42%) to give a fake quotation that's often much lower than the reality. PFP are gaining customers by deception.1 -
