  • I always got told it wasn't available, so I asked for the exclusive fix instead. Have you tried asking for that?

I also got turned down for zf about half a dozen times. Asked for an exclusive fix, got it right away. Of course that might be random.

Just had my outstanding NR balance credited in full to my non-SOLR British Gas account with a transaction type of "Miscellaneous document". My one and only NR bill went up to 7th November so not sure what's going to happen to the charges between 8th November and 6th December but I'm going to let sleeping dogs lie.

Same here my last bill was up to the 4th November and my British gas account is now showing the credit owed to me from neon reef and like you I have not been charged for the in between days.
Considering all the problems I have had with the process I won't be surprised if British Gas charges for the difference eventually
  • Same here too, 'final' bill from NR was a scheduled bill period up to 29 Oct, resulting credit now showing on BG account.

BG charged wef 3rd Dec from reading advised to them & NR on 22nd Nov, so I've got about £85 not charged for at the moment.

Having gone through the same process when Green went bust previously, it should have been NR that recalculated final bills to include all charges, I can't see that BG will have the mechanism to raise any missing charges now?

They might just decide it's not worth the hassle, as E.ON did when they became SOLR for Symbio.

Trying to find out why our standing charge is so high at 57.782p
Paying by direct debit is cheaper
    standing charge per day 45p
    unit rate per kWh 28p
  • I still don't seem able to get a bill, despite changing to the variable direct debit. I did get asked for a reading on time, but the promised bill didn't happen. They say up to five working days later. No payments taken either. It's a good job I've been keeping the money aside.

In my case they thought it was worth the hassle to the tune of £7.80. However Symbio also charged me for the same period.

Stepdaughter has had her NR credit applied to her SOLR BG account today as well, but nothing on mine for the NR debit that I owe.   Likewise no further bills on either account for the gap period between end of NR (or 8th Nov in her case) and start date of first bills from BG.  Fingers crossed they aren't going to bother.
