No, cheapest is Zero Fixed October 2022 discussed earlier on in the thread.lisyloo said:0 -
There are cheaper ones than that, too, if you can find a BG CS agent gullible enough to switch you onto them. Some are mentioned in the "Zero Fix" thread.ivanleo said:

Agreeing to put you onto the tariff is a 'mistake' that you can get a CS person to make, which you then try to force through with a complaint.QrizB said:... if you can find a BG CS agent gullible enough to switch you onto them.It shouldn't be possible, but BG seem unable to prevent the errors occurring so people continue to try.As long as you go into it with the knowledge of what you are doing and set your expectations accordingly then you may get lucky.Right now though I wouldn't be trying for the Zero Fixed Oct 22 as there is a better alternative with one of the 'Exclusive' tariffs mentioned in the other thread.

Ideally yes, but I have the transcripts for zero fix and don’t have them for the exclusive one.MWT said:lisyloo said:lOk, but may not be available (I have my complaint in).Hence this part...

I might try again.0 -
With all the customers BG have inherited, I can't see them sending meter readers to every new customer's property! Wouldn't get round to billing until the next century.Deleted_User said:Lots of action here ... BG sent round a meter reader, and then billed me for the period from 3 December (using a plausible estimate) up to the actual meter reading.Presumably they will go back and bill from 21 November (when they took over from Neon as SoLR) to 3 December later on, perhaps when Neon tell them the final reading they used? There is also a tiny debit balance on my last NR bill, which BG are apparently supposed to deduct from my balance with them (I guess when NR tell them about it, again). It's now possible to set up a DD with BG online, so I've just done that. (I could have paid the actual bill instead. Depends what you prefer.)1 -
I wonder how often someone has to actually check your meter? Mine haven't been checked in donkeys years.0

There's a variety of KWH prices in this thread, could someone confirm what I'm on is correct please?
Tarif name "Welcome to British Gas"
Monthly Direct Debit
21.607p per kWh
25.664p per day
Fixed until 31/07/2022
This seems high but is fixed until end July which given the anticipated rise in April I'm OK with.
Thanks.0 -
Its the right tariff for those of us moved from NR but a bit higher than mine by about 1p kWh, but depends what region you're in so is likely correct (I'm Southern region)To check use this link, type in your postcode and then click View Matching Tariffs and scroll down to Welcome to British Gas

Has there been confirmation that the current solr tariff to 31.07.22 won't be increased in April? I remember something about it not actually being a fixed tariff??0
