Still haven’t heard anything from BG…0
-
Logged into BG site this am since it had been offline when I looked yesterday - haven't even taken my first DD but they already wanted to uplift by £40 pm !!
Can't see on what basis as there doesn't appear to be an expected annual consumption anywhere in the account views. I've adjusted back down to my more realistic calculated amount which triggered warnings in red about a shortfall at contract end but since its all going to go t*ts up in April, so what !!1 -
I have had a bill, set up a direct debit and the only oddity is that the tariff for both "cash/cheque" and "monthly direct debit" is the same despite an email saying otherwise. The tariff on my bill is what was posted on here as the welcome tariff.
My neon reef account still has the bill up to 8th November but excluding the direct debit paid on that day. I have no idea what will happen to the usage between 8/11 and 3/12 but it won't exceed the current credit balance on NR.0 -

I think I asked earlier in the process - but does anyone who had economy 7 with NR have both a daytime and nighttime rate with the welcome tariff with BG or (like me) just the one, daytime, rate? If you do have a nighttime rate given, did this happen automatically or did you have to chase? For me everything else appears to have been set up correctly.

If you do have a nighttime rate given, did this happen automatically or did you have to chase?Basically the answer seems to be 'Yes, it does happen automatically' but my journey was a bit convoluted.Originally I was with Neon Reef for about 19 months with an E7 meter but on single rate. I switched away from Neon Reef after they increased their prices but before they went bust, going to Symbio at single rate. When Symbio went bust I switched immediately to British Gas Zero Fixed Oct 22 at E7 rates, avoiding being SoLR'd to E.On Next. Having E7 rates with Zero Fixed Oct 22 was a no brainer because there's no standing charge and no surcharge on the day rate: the night rate is a great perk because it's only 54% of the day rate.BG said that I would start on the SVT but could then switch to Zero Fixed Oct 22. The SVT was automatically charged at E7 rates and the first bill was then replaced with a Zero Fixed Oct 22 version at E7 rates. Hope that helps.BTW, the status of Zero Fixed Oct 22 is shrouded in mystery. When I switched it was neither definitely available nor definitely withdrawn: it seemed to have the status that the SVT now has with many suppliers, i.e. it's still available but not via an online switch and often quite hard to get as a new customer. The general opinion seems to be that it was only offered as an attractive tariff to retain SoLR customers. Several forumites successfully switched in autumn 21 but it seems that the good ship MV Zero Fixed Oct 22 has now sailed.2

is anybody still waiting for their Neon Reef final bill to be produced ?
for me, the 2 accounts that had a final debit balance have had a final bill produced but the last account that was in credit has not so I suspect they may have done this on purpose0 -
