Neon Reef - any views?

    My 'final statement' from Neon Reef used a totally fictitious opening reading which is about 180kWh lower than my closing reading with Symbio. It also only shows one direct debit payment when I actually made two. They claim I'm £1.22 in debit while I make it over £70 in credit.

    I've emailed them twice but received no response. BG say they may be able to correct it once they receive the full details from NR, but I'm a little fearful I'll wind up significantly out of pocket.
  • I've still had nothing. 3 weeks into NR collapsing. No emails/contact from either NR or BG stating the situation/switch.

    I emailed BG, they said they have no info from NR for myself and to contact them. I emailed NR and they said my details should be with BG 'shortly', that was 2weeks ago, now they just tell me to contact BG who push me back to NR.

    I'm just frustrated, getting sent between the 2 and at this stage I don't know what's going on.

    The meter reading that BG nagged for on website and in app ,has never appeared anywhere - and now the app has moved back to "not quite ready for meter reading" !!

    You could look up your current electricity supplier according to your electricity distribution operator's website. To find the latter, see https://www.energynetworks.org/operating-the-networks/whos-my-network-operator ... If it isn't yet showing BG, then you're behind some of us.
    You could see if there are any messages in your NR account, even if they haven't reached you by email. You could check your spam folder.
    You could cancel your NR DD, start saving up cash for future bills, and sit back and relax?!

    That website still says my supplier is Neon Reef. No messages in my account, last one was in October. Nothing goes in my email Spam, everything is directed into my Inbox.

    Money isn’t the issue. I just don’t like being in limbo between companies who can’t seem to give me a straight answer and both telling me to talk to the other one.
  • @kiis10295 Have you tried contacting the Administrator? See my posts on page 188. Other contact channel details are available if required.

    First thing I’d do is check the website, blogs etc. To see if they have finished the SOLR process. If they haven’t you might just be towards the end of the queue.

    Thanks for providing the link, just gave them a call and they’ve confirmed my provider is still listed as Neon Reef.

    I cancelled my DD after Neon Reef went under and planned to just set one up once I had contact from British Gas… still no word yet!

    I did try to call them but their phone system just won’t let you through unless you provide an account number.

    Seeing other people are in the same boat is a relief though!
