Forget the switch - couldn't find any cheaper deals anyway, not surprisingly.
So up to 21st November I pay on NR rates and from then until they finally make me a formal customer I pay on BG rates?0 -
Im with neon reef and as soon as i heard about the closure i started switch to EDF . This was on the 17 nov after NR are bust and it was blocked by NR a week later. After much chat/emails with NR and BG who agreed to end their pursuit of the account with no hassle but a nasty bloke at NEON who refused to unblock it was very intimidating. I contacted OFFGEM who told NR to unblock it and EDF have confirmed this and are continuing the switch ( 7 days ago). Ive no official contact from NR to say a final bill is ready but checked to day and its there with it going up to 7 nov and overestimated my use but okay with that as its cheaper price. I cancelled my DD as soon as i knew about the closure but the bill does not have any DD charge on it.
The question is... How do i pay this bill?
Also EDF as per contract take over on the 7 DEC so will be interesting what happens to the missing month though when Yorkshire Energy went bust I canceled the SOLR to Scottish power and eventually the missing month then was given to me free by SP as they cudnt be bothered to set me up (their words) :-)1 -

There is a cheaper deal i.e. Zero fixed October 2022, but I have no idea whether you can still sign-up for it.0 -

No harm in trying once you’ve been switched if that’s going to happen anyway.0 -
Yes I'm aware of the Zero Fixed Oct 2022 that some have managed to be transferred to. But as I'm still registered as NR customer I don't see how i could instigate this - yet.

you can sign up to an expensive fix and hope they will switch you but that’s a big risk.
the other way is to wait for solr and then try to get it later.
you could in the meantime try to get a chat operative to commit to it and keep the transcript in the hope that will help later on.
Some may consider that immoral so that is up to you.
there is an email option which sometimes works but also a print to pdf option as well which always seems to work.
I agree you can’t instigate it yet - AFAIK0 -
