Did you ask them in the chat before signing up to BG?allison445 said:
I have tried on numerous occasions in the last few weeks to be switched to the Zero Fixed Oct 2022 and been told each time this tariff is no longer available have just tried again and again been told no.ivanleo said:Well screw the welcome tariff, just asked to be moved to the Zero Fixed Oct 2022 via chat and this was the reply:I have made the arrangements for you and the tariff will be updated to your account within 10 working days and you will also receive a written confirmation via post within 7 days
But by all means, for those who decided to play it safe and stick with the SOLR process, do enjoy your SVT.
Wondering why some people are getting this while others are being told no0 -

jrawle said:I'm not sure if BG really do direct debit discounts as opposed to different pricing for direct debit. For the "Welcome..." tariff, the price is the same for both payment methods, and is in line with the price cap for direct debit accounts. I find it hard to believe BG will charge customers any less than the cap. Perhaps it's a standard statement they have wrongly included that would apply to other tariffs where the pricing is different for some payment methods.I believe what they mean is that although everyone is starting on a quarterly 'cash or cheque' tariff they are discounting it to the same price as the DD tariff. So as long as you do set up a DD and move to a monthly tariff, the price will not change. If you do not do that then eventually the price for the quarterly tariff will increase to the cap for that payment method.Odds are that would not be before July though...

I signed up before the SOLR announcement and my supply start date appears to be 7th December. If you didn't ask for the tariff via chat before your account was set up, you might have missed out.allison445 said:I was switched over from neon reef I did not sign up0 -
The cheeky bu**ers at BG have sent me a survey on my "recent buying experience" !!2

Same here, I'm not answering it until the Zero Fix Oct 2022 tariff shows up on my account. If it does for both properties with no fuss, I'll give them 10 out of 10.brewerdave said:The cheeky bu**ers at BG have sent me a survey on my "recent buying experience" !!0 -
On 15 Nov, Neon reef have produced a "Final Energy Statement" for 6/10/21 to 6/11/21 in my account
But they were supplying until 2 Dec , I believe and a big D/D was taken on 8 Nov which doesn't show on the statement, but is itemised under "bills and payments"
I have made screenshots of everything, but the naming of "Final Energy Statement" is inaccurate and I wonder if others have had similar?
Incidentally today, I , too, managed to switch to BG Zero Fixed Oct 2022 following the transfer of the neon account to BG using chat , and have been given a ref number for this with assurances that it will happen. We will see0 -
My last bill was produced 8 Nov for charges to 29 Oct & it's now been amended to state Final Energy Statement, but charges remain as previously billed.keiran said:On 15 Nov, Neon reef have produced a "Final Energy Statement" for 6/10/21 to 6/11/21 in my account

Green did exactly the same process, then eventually produced a final bill to the correct details. I'm guessing that NR billing will do the same, hopefully in the not too distant future!1
