I've given an opening reading but the app still asks me to do it. Gonna just leave it since my account is set up anyway and BG are showing as my supplier.0

I initiated switched from Symbio to Neon a few days after Eon was appointed as SOLR on 3 Oct and switch completed 15 Oct. Called Eon today and they stated that as I switched away only a few days after they were appointed then this was before the account migration process started and therefore my account was never passed onto them and they have no records on their system for me. They said they will therefore not be billing me for this short 12 day period I was technically under Eon. Anyone else in a similar position to me heard the same from Eon?0

Anyone else in a similar position to me heard the same from Eon?Yes, I jumped ship on 30 Sep and went to British Gas. BG and E.On agreed that because I'd beaten the SoLR announcement that no switch to E.On would take place. I've no idea who supplied me between the end of Symbio and the start of BG on 25 Oct.Presumably at some stage I'll get a bill from E.On. I didn't dare chase it because it's taken until today to get BG sorted out, and I certainly didn't fancy a multi-way muddle with Symbio, E.On, BG and The Mysterious Third Party.Symbio's administrators were remarkably efficient: I cancelled the DD immediately (just as well, their weird DD system just carried on and tried to bill me up to the end of October) but they used a sensible final reading and slightly under calculated the final amount due, so that bit is now all done and dusted.Hope it all goes well with Zog sadly disappearing: I've ended up with gas from Électricité de France and electricity from British Gas !1

I switched from Symbio to NR and while technically EON could charge me for a few days when they were deemed to be my suppliers, I don't think their systems are set up to deal with the deeming provisions. I emailed Symbio to dispute my credit balance (which is wrong by about £10) and cc'ed E.ON, had this reply:tg99 said:I initiated switched from Symbio to Neon a few days after Eon was appointed as SOLR on 3 Oct and switch completed 15 Oct. Besides who am I to question her, she's an energy specialist after all.
Thank you for your email
I have looked on the national database and I can see that you were supplied by Symbio until the 6th October then Neon reef took over until 6th Dec and you are due on supply with British gas. I'm looking into your final balance as soon as I have an update I will be in touch.
Kind regards
Samantha

Still nothing in my BG account about the meter readings I submitted on the 2nd December... hopefully will turn up soon...OldScientist said:
I know it doesn't really help - but I'm in the same situation - submitted readings yesterday, nothing in the account as yet and, as you say, apparently nowhere to submit a reading directly in the account either.ghostwriter said:Despite putting in two readings to BG yesterday, one through the app and one via an email link, it's still showing no reading. Disappointing but not surprising.
There doesn't seem to be anywhere on the website to summit a reading, am I missing something?0 -
The missing readings are probably having to go to this 3rd party to get validated. They are probably a little bit overworked at the moment with having to validate millions of readings.2

BG have now sent another email and message via the app for opening meter read ! Getting silly now!!0

Welcome to my World on 2/12. The timeline ‘diagram’ has not moved since before then. They did confirm they’d received my opening reading by some method, but I can’t remember how. Still no sign of it on the app or web site, though, and still getting the ‘move your switch on’ message in the app even now.0

I haven't heard anything from Eon but I also jumped to Neon Reef at the time Symbio went bust and was supplied by them from Oct 11th.tg99 said:I initiated switched from Symbio to Neon a few days after Eon was appointed as SOLR on 3 Oct and switch completed 15 Oct. I did notice on my final bill with Symbio that my apparent "Customer read" was a fair bit higher than the one I took when they went bust and is 6 units below my Neon Reef opening read. Although the dates don't show me being supplied up until I moved over to Neon Reef, presumably I've just been billed in the interim at Symbio rates and they appear to be swallowing the standing charge?1 -
I left the same time as you and was supplied by Neon Reef from Oct 11. However in my case they still have not produced my final bill despite sending many reminders. Neon Reef have confirmed my opening read was validated and sent through to Symbio. Also I can now view my Symbio account online but nothing changed since the October bill was produced.HeinzVarieties said:
