It is now over 12 hours since I sent a DM to BG on Twitter, with no response. Furthermore my copious meter readings have STILL not appeared on my BG account.locky123 said:Sent BG a DM via Twitter as dont have time to waste phoning.0 -
BG replied this evening via Twitter in a few minuyes and they will need to deregister my old BG gas account and then I can re-register my new electric account. So much easier than phoning. Process takes about 5 days to deregister. Assuming it is actioned.Deleted_User said:@l@locky123 Unfortunately BGs response time on Twitter is appalling. Chat is also appalling - I really do not know why such as BG and BT persist in using Indian response centres. Sorry, but they are generally worse than useless, in my experience.0 -
Chat is useless, explained everything fully in the first message, 20min later she asks are you talking about solar panels!0

My account is fully set up now and I didn't have to contact them. The reading I gave seems to have vanished though.
Put my application for the warm home discount in finally now that I have an account number.0 -
Despite putting in two readings to BG yesterday, one through the app and one via an email link, it's still showing no reading. Disappointing but not surprising.
There doesn't seem to be anywhere on the website to summit a reading, am I missing something?0 -
Just put a reading in for stepdaughters account on Ipad app and its showing on the Switch timeline graphic. Also checked Who's My Supplier and BG is showing as her supplier. Some account details showing but not a lit and can't access Rewards yet. Be interesting to see what the opening BG and NR closing readings will end up being.
Mine doesn't switch to 8th so not submitting reading til then....so you never know might be a slim outside chance of them only charging from then 🤞🏻
EDIT: meter reading not showing on Switch Status for her account on the Android app...seamless integration then 😅. More info on Android app though as there are tabs to see usage and payments (obviously nil at moment). Can pay with Google pay as well as card, but no way of setting up DD online that I can see0 -
I know it doesn't really help - but I'm in the same situation - submitted readings yesterday, nothing in the account as yet and, as you say, apparently nowhere to submit a reading directly in the account either.ghostwriter said:Despite putting in two readings to BG yesterday, one through the app and one via an email link, it's still showing no reading. I do note that Neon Reef added a fairly sensible estimated meter reading on 29 November (I last submitted one on 16th November) - maybe that does imply an extra couple of weeks of cheaper electricity...

Not just me with disappearing readings, then. Thought it might appear/be updated overnight. But no. Sure I’ve read somewhere that when they ask for a reading, they ‘need’ it within 5 days of asking. Obviously my reading today will be different to yesterday.I’ll just have to take BGs advice and just sit back and relax. I’ve every confidence in BG.
Meanwhile, as mentioned previously, NR seem to have taken it upon themselves to dream up an estimate for my closing reading with them, rather than using the actual reading provided.0 -
If its the one you posted earlier (higher than you submitted) and BG use it as opening read then you should be pleased as it'll save you a few pennies.Deleted_User said:

Mine has been done today as estimated.
I'm not surprised the readings aren't showing up, I think the email we get sent is for a normal switch which ours isn't.
The reading will be sent to BG from NR administrators, the reading we were asked to give on or around the 21st November.0
