Are we best to take daily meter reads at the moment? Do we enter on to our account, if possible?
    1) Yes, but just for your own use at the moment.
    2) No.  Neither the SoLR nor the switchover date to the SoLR is known, and your reading(s) could be tweaked by The Mysterious Third Party.  Better to give the reading taken on the relevant date only to the SoLR.  When verified it will then be sent to NR's administrators so that in due course a final bill can be generated.
It will only cause unnecessary problems if the closing and opening readings are different.
  • £200 in credit, this months bill to come off, so about £55, so cancelled my DD.

Hopefully it gets announced on Monday who the SOLR is…

It might be announced over the weekend - several others have.
  • I'm with BG now and have been told no to the zero tariff as it's discontinued, and that I can only switch to the ones they currently offer. I can't afford those! You may get the same when you try to switch.
  • So that was a massive waste of everyone's time then!
Switching around was so 2020, now you just have to be grateful you have a supplier at all, bow your head and hand over the money.
  • I haven't got a prior agreement from chat though, so those of you who have might be able to argue your case.

That was always a risk, we knew it had been discontinued (in mid-2020 I think, there's a post somewhere about it) but nevertheless some MSErs were successful in persuading CS to switch them.

Yes, and we should be discussing it in the other thread to stop annoying all the other NR people :)

  • If they don't switch me its not a big problem as I switched to the variable/price cap tariff with the promise of changing the day after completion so no worse of price wise than if I stayed with NR/SOLR. I do have copy of chat just in case its needed so we shall see what happens on Dec 8th
