Person on live chat said had to switch me initially to current tariff available but will put notes on my account that I will be moved to the zero fixed Oct 2022 tariff effective from switch completion date. She did the switch for me there and then in live chat and have got screenshots plus requested transcript so should be ok!1

1. To chat, go to the "Help & Support" section of their website, and click on the "Chat" button on the bottom-right.
2. Say "Joining" when the bot asks what you need help with.
3. When asked if you are the account holder, say "No". You will then be put through to a human.
4. Tell them what you want. At this point, most of us are being told you will have to sign up to whatever tariff you can find on the BG website, then ask them to switch you over to the Zero Fixed Oct 22 tariff once you are on supply.
5. Use this link to sign up if you want to avoid being re-directed to the British Gas Evolve website: https://www.britishgas.co.uk/GetAQuote/new/quote-details?cid=bgEvolve_redirectBAU
Isn’t this a risk - that it’s not available when you want to switch and you’re then on something more expensive?
apologies if I’m miss8ng something - I may well be2 -

Called British gas who told me its not available tried live chat and the agent told me that the tariff has expired was about to give up but told him lots of people have switched to this tariff and please can he check with his seniors. Came back after 10 minutes and said he's applied to switch me to the zero fixed October 2022 tariff so if anyone who wants a zero standing charge tariff apply asap with British gas.
Or are you saying you have now switched your main property too? The one you only switched to NR after Symbio went bust.
Why did you switch to NR if you were aware of the BG tariff that is cheaper than NR was???

If you can get it, it's a no-brainer for anyone being rolled onto an SoLR electricity tariff, less so for dual fuel or gas. The single rate is the same as the E7 day rate.

That’s the same rate as eon for me 1p less but 10p at night so it’s worth it … but no guarantee and could be stuck on 33! I use 7500 a year…0
