I've been passed around on chat so many times but currently getting nowhere.I've just lost an hour of my life that I won't get back and been transferred through 5 chat agents only to basically be told to sign up online to the only available BG tariff (having selected Cheque/Bank payment rather than DD so I didnt get sent off to BG Evolve) that is a lot more expensive than SVR with a potential £75 exit fee.And that once I get switched to contact them and I can get transferred to the Zero Fixed tariff and that it would be backdated to original completion date. (i do have screenprints of the chat). Not sure that I feel confident enough to give this a go...if it was a switch to SVR and i couldn't get onto Zero Fixed eventually then it would be nothing lost compared to SOLR, but i really don't want to risk being stuck on HomeEnergy Secure Jan 2024 at 29p kwh and 31p per day SC......0 -
grandadgolfer said:What's all this BG zero fixed oct 2022 about....is it some hidden tariff NR customers can sign up for, reading through last 6 pages and I'm lostIt's an extremely cheap fixed electricity tariff IF you can get switched to it. No daily charge, no exit fee. You'll have to be very persistent and not be fobbed off about doing it online, it seems to be only available by Chat. Start again with another agent if you're not lucky the first time.Unlikely to be good for gas unless you have low consumption.0

I switched my second (small useage) Elec account to the BG zero fixed 2022 via chat a month or two ago when previous BG tariff was ending. My main electricity account with NR so trying to go on chat to switch this to BG zero fixed 2022 too but keeps just saying no one available and then the auto agent leaves chat.1

You only have to get lucky once.Have some boilerplate prepared that you can quickly copy and paste so that you can head off their likely dissuasive responses. When they eventually agree to switch you to Zero Fixed Oct 22, take photos of the Chat in case the transcript doesn't materialise.1
