"If the suppliers fail to comply with the order, Ofgem may take further enforcement action and they could end up having their licences revoked or face a financial penalty. "
If a company cannot pay the Feed-in-Tariff, I cannot see much point in a financial penalty. I have been watching "The Outlaws" on TV, so maybe they should do community payback.
Seriously, it really is time for Ofgen or the government (haha) to get a grip. The energy cap is not working but people cannot be put in a position of having to decide as to whether or not they can afford to heat their homes.0 -
Elexon has announced it will expel Neon Reef and Orbit Energy from the Balancing and Settlement Code (BSC).
The decision means that the companies will not be able to take on new customers as they could not register any metering systems and further Balancing Mechanism Units.
The companies are the latest in a string of suppliers to have been booted out of the BSC.

(although thinking about I suppose I have as if they go bust its going to cost me a lot in higher tariffs)1 -
Is detention still a thing? ‘Punishment’ is frowned upon these days. The furthest it gets is a spell on the ‘naughty step’ or ‘thinking chair’ in recent experience. 😉2
