Himself's brother now has his mobile phone. Although there is no visiting a friend was able to hand in some things he needed. I sent a text last night but I haven't had a reply. No surprise there then. Phoned the hospital and apparently he's had a comfortable night and they are doing more tests. I can't do much more really.
Today was Himself's birthday. He forgot until he came downstairs and found his presents. I had planned to make a nice dinner since restaurants aren't open here yet but he's still not well. So it was omelette for lunch and soup for dinner. At least it's home made. A bit uneventful for a birthday but he doesn't seem to mind. I'm getting a bit concerned about his health but he refuses to phone the doctor.
Rained all day again and I didn't get out. Don't think I'm doing too well so far.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6 -
Another full day of decorating for me. I kind of wish I hadn't started but I know that it will be worth it in the long run, and I am grateful that dd is helping me. I've made progress again today but still feel as though I'm a long way from being finished. I've done loads of work but still lots to go.
Also grateful for talking to my dad about the doors and him telling me to get primer to stop them soaking the paint up.
And grateful for the extra exercise, although my body is trying to make me suffer at the moment. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Today I am grateful for a good visit to the orthodontist and dd being moved to the next stage of teeth extraction (eek!!), for starting a new book, for recycled Tour highlights, for dh removing the old shower and installing the new one, for lists.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

Ooh grateful for lists, so very grateful for lists!Today I am turning into the evil cleaning lady. At 9am I am going to burst into the kids bedrooms, singing and hoovering. They were warned yesterday so it is their own fault if it is not ready. I am taking no prisoners and making beds not allowances. Cleaning from the top floor down. It is miserable weather. Accidentally lost a NSD yesterday due to cheese. So still on NSD5 but today will be NSD6 and I will cash out p/a to pay for 1/2 the cheese. Maybe, by the close of play today, I will have made enough on p/a to pay for all of it. That is my goal for the day - £4.00 to make for the cheese fund. I need to check my
2sh0p card as well to see if I have been paid on that, and if I have, I am taking a rainy walk up the road to buy free, utterly frivolous, not on any kind of list, foodstuffs of dubious nutritional value.
Also researching savings accounts. The rates are appalling and my bank (H4lifax)is removing all fee-free overdraft facilities. Not that I use it, but still - £100 fee free arranged overdraft is just 'normal' surely??Strange times for them to be doing it as well.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

The banks are just biding their time to get their money! All the 'holidays' for repayments won't affect them much because they will eventually get that money anyway.Galling.Like the big supermarkets getting almost 100% of the customers for the last 3 months, but not doing any offers. They are only looking out for their own fat cats...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4

Happy hump day, half way through the week turtles.Pleased with myself, big hilly walk done last night, rain at the last leg of it.Today work waiting for results of council planning committee, painful to watch only taken 2 1/2 years to get to this stage. Can't imagine they are capable of making any decision looking at them on zoom.Had home made leek and potato soup for lunch, no idea what to have for my tea. Nothing planned or defrosted.NSD lost to teabags, can't cope without them.ditty1234 - good luck with the test.Foxholes - no body paying any interest at moment, I might close my Halifax account down, got money sitting there doing nothing. First time in my life I have savings as well.Grateful forNice home, I might have a lazy evening and enjoy it.Friends I really need to catch up with them.Flowers making me smile in the rain this morning.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/224

Himself's brother got out of hospital this afternoon, That's a relief.
Himself has improved a bit today but, I think, we really are going to have a good look at our lifestyle. We've eaten and drunk far to much over the last three months and all the wrong things as well. Since we couldn't go out there has been a real lack of exercise and all the problems that that causes. We are in a serious rut. A great deal of effort needed to change things. Is this just me or is anyone else feeling the same?
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6
