Just got email confirmation from RA that FRG will not allow non schengen citizens through their airports. RA sent a cancellation form for full refund, went through swimmingly... so far.
Altho their highly publicized talk of cancelling any fees for changing flight dates looks like a gimmick. Fees are still showing when I try to change flight dates for Berlin.
I just hope the refund is completed as expected, will this include all fees ..ie.baggage fees??0 -
in reply to Simster... Success getting the Ryanair web app to complete for refund:
Flight out - 27.3
Return flight 30.3.
Notified of cancellation - email & SMS
How Long to get refund - not got refund yet but app completed to the success message to say I would get refund within 7 working days.
I do not work for Ryanair - I just got lucky and the web servers let me in :-)

rjhfandclf said:SORRY ... didn't intend to keep everyone up all night with insomniac 'Ryanightmares' ... just to create a glimmer of hope through perseverence ... possibly/hopefully!!!
Just to repeat, I only tried to engender some optimism into a very gloomy picture. I still have no idea if RA will actually make the repayment offered to me. I will report back as, and when, and if, they do.
Some points:
- I found phoning for hours a complete waste of time and never got beyond the message that the line was busy and was immediately got cut off. NB Others say they have had success.
- Ditto the chat ‘thingy’.
- Repeated reloading of the online form that denies the validity of the reservation code does seem to have worked with persistence.
- From what others have said, the form seems to get mor responsive the later into night you can stay up … and bother – again from the success comments others have made
- And less optimistic: RA are increasing cancellations across the board, so it is only going to get worse.
And taking the good point about the timing of the claims:
- I was booked Stansted-Tarbes Lourdes 17/03, returning 03/04. It was becoming evident that the outward flight would fail, so when free changes were offered by RA, I tried to change the dates to a week later just to ensure (hopefully) that France would do what they were promising and close access – and eventually did – so that RA would have to refund.
- I picked up online that the out flight would be cancelled the night before (16/03) and that a refund was on offer for both directions, so immediately tried to take this, but was not able to for what turned out to be this ongoing saga of rejected codes.
- I thought maybe I was too early, so left it until the formal advice came through as advised by RA by text and email at 07.00 on the following day of the flight. I then started chasing again.
- It took me until the evening to succeed (per my original post of 17 March at 9:18PM (p.3))
- I am very long retired … and ever-increasingly grumpy, so probably have more time to waste than others … although less time left in which to waste it!
Regrettably, I think they are in an unprecedented b’s muddle, but that doesn’t excuse the diabolical failure in PR and comms – particularly as Mr O’L continues to proclaim on the RA CoV info announcements that ‘The Ryanair Group has strong liquidity, with strong cash and cash equivalents of over €4bn as at 12 March’.
I can only continue to repeat what seems to have worked for some … so again, the best of luck!

Finally after nearly 45 mins the refund fund form was accepted. Just had to continually resubmit the form typing in the Catchpa each time.
Ryanair server must be running way behind - form submitted at 1:03 am, time recorded on form 12:23am.
Not a pleasant experience at all with Ryanair at all this week- very poor.

Same here nothinh is working. Number of reservation invalid. I have done round 8 screenshots just to have proof if they will try not to refund me back my money. I also contacted my bank but they told me i need to get the refund from them at least tried. If this will be unsuccessful in couple of weeks they willing to help me then. Couple of weeks? I have paid for my tickets 18th February and how long i am gonna be waiting for my money now 6 months? Also funny story Ryanair cancelled my flight from Edinburgh to Krakow but from Kraków to Edinburgh flight back hasnt been cancelled. I am asking how am I gonna be flying back if i am not going anywhere? Probably they will try to rob me from the other flight or they gonne do something not to issue the refund. I am really and truly unhappy. Maggie0

Hi everybody.
Just wanted to let you know that there is some light at the end of the tunnel for all of you frustrated with the Ryanair refund process.
After several days of receiving the "Your flight reservation number is invalid" message i have finally managed to get my application processed, well to the next stage anyway. I have been reading a lot of comments on other forums about people experiencing issues regarding invalid flight reference messages. Someone had posted that they managed to get their refund application processed in the middle of the night as the application volumes would be lower then and and another had posted about trying on different devices (mobiles, laptops, desktops etc). After several unsuccessful attempts on multiple devices during the last few days i decided to give up and try later tonight as suggested. So after unsuccessfully trying to get the application processed on my laptop for 2 hours since 11pm i decided that i would log into the refund application on my phone and the application went through to the next stage, which is a message confirming that they have received my application at 1.15 am and that it would be processed within 7 working days to the original form of payment and should show in account within 5-7 days. Positive thoughts that these deadlines will be met.
So any of you that are frustrated with getting the same error message on the online refund application, it might be worth setting your alarm for the middle of the night and having another go then! Best wishes!1
