Are you waiting for the flights to oficially be cancelled before trying to get a refund?
I have 2 flights in April to Spain that according to RyanAir's booking page are still going to run. Obviously i'm not going so want a refund. but im not sure if i should be trying to claim now or not.

I think you should wait until they cancel it otherwise they could say that you cancelled when there was no need to and therefore not refund you, despite the situation. They will likely cancel it soon. Then you too can join the masses unable to claim the refund! :-)

After giving up completely on the refund form I focused on the telephone and somehow got through after many attempts. A 21 minute wait ended by being cut off; a 24 minute wait (after many more attempts to get through) ended in a customer care agent - hurrah - I gave the details and she confirmed that I would be refunded  within 28 days and I would get email confirmation within 24 hours. Only after I put the phone down did I realise I have no evidence that this conversation ever took place!! I wait anxiously for the email! I was lucky to get through today. Good luck everyone, and when you do get through please remember it's not that persons fault you had such a struggle. Be kind.
  • I am having trouble with the Refund Form too. Ryanair have cancelled my flight home from Malaga this Sunday  22/3/20. Fortunately I am not in Malaga as I did not get on the flight on 18/3/20 with Ryanair to Malaga. Had I done so I would have been going against FCO advice and would also have been STRANDED and in a potentially dangerous situation.. My hotel was cancelled and on 17/3/20 the Spanish Government imposed further restrictions about entry to their country. I can not believe that Ryanair still went ahead with the flight from Liverpool to Malaga on 18/3/20 knowing full well the advice from the FCO for UK citizens and the restrictions the Spanish Government imposed on the the day before.I find it irresponsible to say the least!  I guess I will have to keep trying to submit the form.

What number did you use to contact them - the one I tried just cut straight off
  • Personally I cant help thinking this website / refund failure is a cleverly developed ruse to prevent any refunds - RyanAir have demonstrated poor behaviours by continuing to run flights despite FCO guidelines and not cancelling until the last minute
  • I thought I'd share my attempt to bring a little lightness to the tedium. I had booked train tickets to and from the airport, refund process done in minutes and acknowledged. I'd booked flights to Gran Canaria on Easyjet, same outcome. I'd booked return flights on Ryanair and no, not the same. I've tried dozens of times unsuccessfully on line and you get the feeling from the whole business ethos it's not accidental. The last attempt the captcha code was UCNT5, prophetic or what 😁
  • Having failed miserably to get any joy out of the website I’ve  just managed to speak to Ryanair (after about 25 minutes holding) and (hopefully) sorted out a refund. A really lovely operator answered and it was processed quickly. I should get a confirmatory email and the payment will take up to 28 days, so fingers crossed. Good luck to everyone else!
