Having failed miserably to get any joy out of the website I’ve  just managed to speak to Ryanair (after about 25 minutes holding) and (hopefully) sorted out a refund. A really lovely operator answered and it was processed quickly. I should get a confirmatory email and the payment will take up to 28 days, so fingers crossed. Good luck to everyone else!

Which phone number are you guys calling?
0330 100 7838 - you need option 6. It goes through message after message and then you usually get cut off. If you don't get cut off you go on hold for about 25 mins and then get cut off. Its usually only on the very last time that you try (after many many tries) that you finally get through to somebody and complete the request !!!
  • Hi everyone. Web chat doesn't work. I have tried all day. Read comments on here, so I have just sat for half hour keep putting in catcha info and just keep doing it, every time error message came up but after half hour, eventually got refund!! Just sit and keep doing it... good luck.
  • For those who succeeded with the form and catcha thing, what did you put in the "Affected flight number"? Full number with two letters at the beginning, or just the 4 last digits?

Full number with the two letters
  • So I have another experience of success. Today I received an email that my flight was cancelled, and there was a link for the reimbursement. This one I tried 50 times, to no avail.

By chance I reviewed an email I had received yesterday from Ryan Air, basically telling me that there was a EU ban for non Schengen areas, but I hadn't to worry if I was a citizen of the Schengen area. So initially I didn't pay attention further to that email, because I am a citizen of the Schengen area. But actually there is a link also in that email, for a refund (for those who are not a citizen of the Schengen area). Well, I clicked on that link, it was a different page (url like schdchng.ryanair.com with a long appendix), but with the same information to fill out as the form we are all struggling with. I filled out the information, clicked once on Confirm, and that was it. Refund was done.

  • Oh !!!!!!, I've gone from error with flight reservation number to error with captcha back to invalid reservation number. And this is after logging onto chat at 9 this morning and trying to call from 6-7pm, no luck with either obviously :(

Does anyone know if there is a timeline to make your claim? i.e. before the original scheduled flight, 7 days from confirmation of cancellation, etc...

  • Same problem here.  I notice that the flight # has been removed from my "itinerary" link.  I suppose that, because the flight is cancelled, there is no longer a flight #?  So the refund page requires a flight # and the one I'm using is no longer valid.  There doesn't seem to be any success with Chat or email.  I have  tried both numerous times.  They are going to get away with keeping our money, and cancelling the flight. }:-(
  • I have been watching this site all day and trying the link and resorted to staying up till 2am but have just received another email from Ryanair taking me to another link which actually worked the first time. Result.

I'm not sure the previous answer to this was correct. If you ender the right airline code (FR in my case) it automatically enters the FR in the flight number box so may not need repeating

  • Tried a tried all day long to get my refund for my cancelled flight through the website and app without any luck kept telling me my flight reservation was incorrect. I had not received an email to inform me that my flight was cancelled at this stage but had realised it had been through my bookings. Then this evening I received an email from Ryanair informing me that the flight was cancelled with a link for my refund which worked first time 😀😀
In my experience I would suggest be patient and wait for the email rather than waste hours trying to get a refund via the website or App.
