Fungas said:Good news; but 3 months?! Dreadful! I know these are unprecedented times, but that's really poor.
Edit: By contrast our hotel booking was non-flexible / non-refundable yet the hotel responded to an email the same day, initially saying sorry it’s non-refundable but we’ll allow you to re-book. I challenged this politely and within an hour they agreed to a full refund which was back on the card within a few days. Worlds apart from Ryanair customer service.0 -

Took me 15 minutes earlier; took another 15 minutes to confirm my identity; took another 15 minutes for the 'human' to answer my query. Rubbish, in other words.0 -

I booked my Ryanair flights through Onthebeach and they have said that I will have to wait up to 6 months for my refund (flight was supposed to be in May).
However, I paid for flight extras direct with Ryanair, but I am not sure how to claim this money back as Onthebeach say I have to do it direct with Ryanair. If I log into Ryanair using the email address Onthebeach gave me, I can ask for a refund, but this is for the whole flight cost and I don't want to jeopardise anything as I have booked through Onthebeach.
Does anyone know how I can claim back the cost of the extras I paid for?

pollyanna24, you could ask Ryanair if you go through the online chat route. Add in your details to the chat bot and, when you finally get through to a human, they should be able to access your booking and advise.1

Thank you. I have put my question in and it says I am in a queue, but no other indication. I guess it is just a waiting game. It's been over an hour and there is no indication as to whether anything is moving forward or not, so not sure what to do.

I raised a dispute 4days ago on the charge to my Amex card from Ryanair for my cancelled flights to Milan, using chargeback. It’s easy to do on line by logging into your account, highlighting the transaction on your statement and it gives you the option to raise a dispute using chargeback. I got a letter today from Amex saying I had a credit refunded to my account for the full amount and they will forward the details to Ryanair. Thanks Martin. Ryanair promised me a refund when my flight was cancelled but like so many others sent me a voucher after 3 weeks. Trying to contact them is useless. The chat bot didn’t even recognise my booking reference number. I would definitely recommend using chargeback.0

I can only recall one forumite actually receiving a refund from Ryanair on this entire thread.
It would be handy IMO if we could all divulge the credit card company and amount that any successful charge back has occured.
Nationwide CC are being slow, very slow in an amount of circa £60. Hopefully they don't use the < £100 excuse.0 -
