I just require a bit of "technical advice" about how to process my claim for a refund. I don't want to start pressing buttons and shoot myself in the foot.

Ryanair have informed me that my outward flight from Birmingham to Dublin in early August has been cancelled. The return leg is still scheduled to fly. The booking has one ref no so as I understand it cancellation of the outward leg entitles me to cancel the whole booking and have a refund. I don't want a voucher.

If I apply for a refund on the website for the outward leg will it automatically ask me if I want to cancel the return leg as well? I don't want to be in a situation where I have only applied for a refund for the outward and not the return.

Is it better to go down the online route or ring them if you want a complete refund and not a voucher. I'm not so bothered about the length of time it takes to get the money back, just that I have applied for that and not a voucher.

I received an email on 16th May to advise my flight to Poland in June has been cancelled, I followed the link to apply for a full refund and completed the details required in the online form, today I have received another email which I can only describe as pushing me to accept a voucher, the email contains no details on how I continue my application for a full refund, has anybody else had any similar issues?

I had the follow up email today and saw that it was pushing towards vouchers.  I ended up on a chat to someone from Ryanair after a 5-10 minute wait.  I had 4 flights in total for various family members.  I was told 'we have refused the voucher in the system and your refund will be processed' (whenever). Not sure how long this takes from now.

Its where you chat direct to Ryanair employee.  (Hope the link works) https://prod-chatbot.ryanair.com/index.html?locale=%22en_GB%22&env=%22prod%22 Firstly you have to speak to the 'robot' and get a generic answer.  Click no to say its not answered your question and then go through to speak to someone from Ryanair.  You may have to wait to speak and you can't really do anything else whilst waiting as once they come on line to speak to you you only have a few minutes to respond.

I have queried it with them on Twitter, no answer as yet but I have made it clear I will not accept vouchers, having read other peoples experiences I have just completed a chargeback form with my bank.
