Re vouchers
After accepting them what happens?
I thought I would receive an email or they would show up once signed in on their site but nothing showing up.
All the process was completed with a messaging saying it was done0 -
Ryanair flights, a new wrinkle.
So, I just happened to log on to my Ryanair account and noticed that my return booking for two, Manchester to Bologna at the beginning of September had been cancelled. No email, mind you. So I went through their routine to claim a refund but it said cannot do this because your flight has not been cancelled.
Looking at the booking in more detail I see that the RETURN flight on the 13th Sept has been cancelled but not the flight out. I tried to do it again just claiming for the return flight, same message.
The 6 digit reservation code is for a return flight.
Is this part of a clever new plan by Ryanair?
My cancelled flight to France in April allowed me to claim a refund (offered a voucher later, offer not taken still no refund) but this is almost amusing.
We are not normally Ryanair moaners as we have used them 24 times in the last 11 years since retiring but surely….. Also at nearly 73 years I want refunds as there is no guarantee that in 12 or 18 months time I will still be around to use a voucher.

macgyver said:My outbound flight to Barcelona in July was cancelled with the option to rebook, voucher or refund. I opted for refund. Today I got an email from Ryanair. I thought it would be the voucher as has been happening. But it states that I can change the flight to any destination.
"Moving your flight is very easy, there are no change fees, you don’t have to pay the fare difference and you can travel to any destination on our network."
But why I try to reschedule:
1. I can not change the destination
2. When I try to book the same destination for different dates, it is charging about £400 extra for three of us.
Has anybody else had this happened to them?
I presume the best thing would be to wait for the refund after refusing their vouchers when they appear.
Thanks.
I managed to get through customer service using the "Chat" on MyRyanair.
The trick is to tell the Chatbot "I need assistance", then to say "no"when asked if it answered your question; you're then prompted to select an option. Select "I need to speak with support". If all goes as planned you'll be connected with customer service in a couple of minutes (I have done it twice this morning)
The customer service adviser can change to any date/destination (as promised in the email we received) for FREE.
Good luck and come back to tell me if you're successful!
Next time, I'll try to get a proper refunds for my 2 other cancelled bookings

We asked First Direct to do a chargeback 2 or 3 weeks ago for flights from early April. It's shown up in our account today!2

You mentioned that we can book until 12th Sept. Is it from the Chat or you read it somewhere.
I wanted to rebook flights for July 2021 in lieu of the cancelled ones. Do you think I can do it or Ryanair will refuse?
Thanks for your help
I wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T0 -
We have the same issue with a cancellation in only one way of flight from BOH to Paphos. Return leg not cancelled yet for some reason. Been advised that free movement of flights are only good for exactly 12 months. We are due to go away again in 12 months and a week. So a refund looks the likely outcome.0

Ryanair have now removed all the flights from 24th Oct 2020. Earlier you could book flights to some destinations till Nov 2021.
Another of their tricks
Edit- The flights for 2021 have reappeared nowI wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T0 -
I booked my 17/03/20 flight via MBNA CC (Lloyds Banking Group); went through the post-cancellation online refund request saga; received the online refund application acknowledgement pending acceptance, and subsequent four emails postponing any actual repayment and offering voucher etc. (all as previously described here multiple pages back). I have ignored all requests to re-apply for refund as superfluous.
Three months on and nothing more from RA, and with a nagging mistrust that they might never even re-open the only low-key flight route I use them for (STN > LDE), I decided enough was enough and checked MBNA for chargeback info. They have now put a direct link to a specific online form for travel issues refund requests (just search for it). It is simple and quick to use, but needs all detailed info to hand (I kept screen shots of the whole tortuous RA refund request process). Following submission, I received the following auto-response from MBNA:
“Thank you for filling in this form. Please take this email as confirmation we have received your claim. We'll try and review your claim within 45 days, however due to the exceptionally high volumes currently being processed there could be a delay. In the meantime there is no need for you to do anything else, we will get in touch with you if we require any further information or if we have any updates.”
It will be interesting to see who deals with the refund first and whether they talk to each other … Could I perhaps even receive two refunds? … !!! (Then whatever would I do?!) If ever I receive anything further from either source – whether cash or rejection – I will report again.
Unless I have missed it, I have yet to read of anyone reporting back that they have actually received their refund back into their bank.

Like may of you, I filled in the form, had the initial problems , but got a confirmation email saying refund will be processed etc etc. I gave Ryanair the benefit of the doubt .... I need to be patient ( sure... they have a lot of requests to deal with)HOWEVER when they sent me an email about vouchers I ignored it and went straight to my bank. Chargeback took about 3 weeks in total...but at least now my dealings with Ryanair are done! Please consider chargeback0
