For 3 days I have been trying to process my refund. Had all the problems everyone else had then used the firefox browser instead of chrome and via the refund application form it went through first time. Hope this works for others.

did u get confirmtion email or what do you know that you get a refund form well?
  • OK, thats flight number 2 sorted. Pretty much straight away. Maybe ,as someone posted earlier there might be a glitch in the system or just overload Each time the Flight number box has been blank when starting. I would have gladly tries to rebook the flights for later but they were at least £50 each more Not good business sense. Good luck everyone
  • SUCCESS. Followed the advice of opabolago and completed the form at contactform.ryanair.com.  Received a text saying please see your email regarding your Ryanair flight. Couple of hours later received the same cancellation email as the original but this time instead of the word Refund to select there was a double line web address and selecting it opened a different and simpler refund form which when completed worked straight away. Thanks opabolago and GLA.

After a conversation with customer service yesterday I am still waiting for an email to confirm the refund. I did in the meantime have a text from Ryanair telling me to check my emails, so I did and I got the 'new' cancellation email with another link. Not sure whether to follow it or whether to trust my conversation yesterday! I will wait for the 24 hours to be up and if there is no email I will follow the new link! It just shouldn't be this difficult or worrying, but (as one always making excuses for poor service) it must be an incredibly difficult time for them as they are bombarded with requests of all sorts - that doesn't excuse their poor web site/links etc. i know, but I feel sorry for the actual staff working for Ryanair at this time.
was your flight on the day when you got than email?
Hi - no. My flight was to be on Sunday 22 March. I first received a cancellation email last Tuesday, with a text to my phone also, asking me to check my emails. I have had three of these now. In the emails they tell me the flight is cancelled and ask me to claim a refund or change the flights. So I haven't had a problem with them letting me know about the cancellation, although the standard 'you are about to leave on holiday' emails have still been coming through but they are just the scheduled emails that haven't been stopped - don't be confused. Also when I go on the booking in the app or on line it says cancelled. Still waiting for the refund confirmation email however!! Hmmmm!
so I would assume this email you and me got after calling is the result of that phone call .  I wonder if anyone else got it after phoning
No I don't believe the email I got today was a result of the call I made yesterday. The email I got today was just a revision of the ones I got earlier with an additional link in. So I waited the full 24 hours since my conversation with the customer care line of which I have absolutely no evidence, and an email didn't arrive so I used the link in the email I received today. Strainght through to a form which already had my flight reservation number on, I filled in a few details and sent it. There was a response that it has been submitted for approval but I still don't have any evidence that I submitted this!!!
yes same thing happened to me. but I think this email might be a result of a phone call as for both of us (ANYONE ELSE??) it happened on a day of the phone call
  • Oh sorry I read that message wrong. Once I got of the phone to Ryanair and they said they had processed my refund I left it about an hour and went back on my Ryanair booking. I noticed it still was saying submit refund so I clicked on the refund button and thought I’d try submitting the form which originally kept saying invalid reference and bizarrely it worked! It did confuse me a bit as I thought are they stopping people from applying for there refunds online saying “invalid reference “ in the hope we would give up trying and they would get away without paying as it was hard work getting through to Ryanair on the phone and took a lot of persistence x
  • it looks like so,  what can i do?  will i get my money back or not ?? please help me is this good ?
  • After 2 days of trying the refund web form worked for Flight 1. A few hours later, Flight 2 was officially canceled but now the web form produces the message
We are currently experiencing a high volume of refund requests, unfortunately we cannot process your application at the moment. Please try again later. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
