0871246002 is the number I rang. I had to keep trying as it kept saying welcome to Ryanair and they had to many calls to except mine and then the line went dead. I literally kept trying repeatedly for only about 5 mins or so before I was put through and then I was placed on hold for 45 mins before I spoke to somebody. Good luck x

I have just had the email to say my Ryanair flight to Santiago on the 31st March has been cancelled and to apply for a refund. Clicked link in email which opened the refund form, added my details and 10 seconds later I have confirmation that my refund will be processed. Looks like I have been lucky having read this thread.

Just  waiting to see what happens with my next planned holiday flights with Ryanair on 13th April now .

My out flight (17/03) was cancelled online the night before the flight, but not by SMS/email until 07.00 the morning of the flight! The return flight (03/04) was only cancelled this morning (20/03) on my bookings page. I have had no formal notification of such yet though.
Update: Have now received the SMS and email confirming the return flight cancellation as well - complete with new link to claim refund! Having already placed my claim and had this acknowledged (but not confirmed/accepted), I followed this through purely out of interest and it said repayment would be made in 7 days - but as soon as I submitted it, it came up with a simple 'there's been an error' closure message. I am assuming (hoping) this is because I have already submitted a refund claim. We shall see. (I would of course have repaid them if they had refunded me twice ... !)

Just cancelled ours- 2 seats on the same flight booked separately- following the text message of doom. One took 30 minutes to go through (flight code error message on repeat), the second took another few minutes so not too bad.

After a conversation with customer service yesterday I am still waiting for an email to confirm the refund. I did in the meantime have a text from Ryanair telling me to check my emails, so I did and I got the 'new' cancellation email with another link. Not sure whether to follow it or whether to trust my conversation yesterday! I will wait for the 24 hours to be up and if there is no email I will follow the new link! It just shouldn't be this difficult or worrying, but (as one always making excuses for poor service) it must be an incredibly difficult time for them as they are bombarded with requests of all sorts - that doesn't excuse their poor web site/links etc. i know, but I feel sorry for the actual staff working for Ryanair at this time.
was your flight on the day when you got than email?
Hi - no. My flight was to be on Sunday 22 March. I first received a cancellation email last Tuesday, with a text to my phone also, asking me to check my emails. I have had three of these now. In the emails they tell me the flight is cancelled and ask me to claim a refund or change the flights. So I haven't had a problem with them letting me know about the cancellation, although the standard 'you are about to leave on holiday' emails have still been coming through but they are just the scheduled emails that haven't been stopped - don't be confused. Also when I go on the booking in the app or on line it says cancelled. Still waiting for the refund confirmation email however!! Hmmmm!
so I would assume this email you and me got after calling is the result of that phone call .  I wonder if anyone else got it after phoning
