I cannot imagine any garage going to the trouble of draining an engine and changing the oil filter and then re-filling with old oil , does not make sense
Shush, don't let facts and reality get in the way of Fred's favourite conspiracy theory.

Most manufacturers only change the oil every 2 years dacia is probably the same  good or bad is another matter its designed to make ownership costs lower

For point of clarity most manufacturers do not operate two yearly oil changes.

What would be the point of draining the oil to put it back in again? If a garage was to do that(They wont) might as well just leave it in and just change the filter.

If it's 'n/a' for the oil then I would assume it's because the oil comes as standard as part of the cost of the service.  They are not billing you separately for it.
As others have said, it makes no sense to drain out the oil, and then put it back in again.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

@wymondham: how did you manage to get a service booked? My wife has a Sandero (bought April 2019) which is due its first service but she can't get it booked in anywhere - most places are shut.

Genuine Dacia services are quite low in comparison with some manufactures, as I discovered moving from Dacia to Ford. The cost for the first 3 yearly services is around £150 per service, varies a little between franchises or you can get a 3 year plan from Dacia for £350. Many garages who like to charge a tidy sum for oil achieve this by showing it as a separate line on their invoices, because the oil and filter charge is included in the Dacia service specification the garage may well have to put n/a for oil charge to avoid their computer system charging you twice. Watch out for year 4 service the price shoots up.

My dad used to have black oil after a main dealer service, the same colour as he took it in with. He used to phone up and say they hadn't serviced it. They would never admit it. They used to say "we have changed the oil sir, but for your complete 100% satisfaction if you would like to bring it back we will repeat the oil change for free". When it came back the second time it would have clean oil. The worst penalty for the garage for not changing the oil is - changing the oil. What percentage of customers check their oil after a service?
