Ok everyone - having added my Tonik payment history for 2020, I am losing out on £250 - which has not been applied to my payments showing on my actual bills for the whole of 2020. Do double check all your 2020 bills - as I very much doubt @JustAnotherSaver (thank you for flagging!!) & I are the only ones.....0

Following comments have just checked my bills from February to final bill and all payments and energy costs seem correct, all accounted for, all adds up, including a credit of £126 for some adjustment. Seem to have got off lightly0

All my payments to Tonik were credited correctly. My Ombudsman complaint in September was about the billing and my inability to understand their bulk bills. I supplied meter readings every month and they ignored most of them. I now believe the billing upgrade was an excuse to hide their financial state. It stopped me from leaving as I wanted my account to be up to date when I switched. My complaint was dropped by the Ombudsman on 09 Oct, and I'm still waiting for my final bill. The total billed in the year to date is about £100 less than the predicted usage so I have given up on getting them to produce normal monthly bills. My sanity is worth more than another prolonged argument. I also have three referral credits from Octopus Energy to compensate me for the stress of this past year with Toxic.

I can’t check all my bills but I was only with them for a few mths and judging by what I’ve paid and what I’m owed back I used much less than I average but then i was only with them in the summer and for once this summer I turned off the electric aga and mused used a air cooker so it would be less so I’m owed quite a lot back seems right, but hard to tell.

Just for information the following is a quote from an email from Tonik Administrators, may be helpful:
I am able to confirm that you should receive your final credit within 4 weeks of your final bill being sent out, as this is something that has been agreed between ScottishPower and Tonik.
Also, anyone else not able to access Scottish Power website. When I try to get to it it says:Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.
Is it a fault or are they trying to tell me something?!!!!!

@Malchester - my Tonik credit (which is now in dispute) was in my SP account on Friday along with my DD payment yesterday. Yes get Forbidden too - remember they had system problems last Sunday too - so Sundays are obviously not good days for them....1

Twitter gave me this update - as I was asking if I could force a switch now:
We recommend you don't switch to another supplier until your account has been transferred to Scottish Power. This is because if you do the switch could take longer, however you are able to to do this if this is what you would prefer - Kelly

@funkyfin2000 - oh wow!!
@JustAnotherSaver - I've just had an email from Tonik admin - 'The reason you were not seeing them on your billing is because of the revised bills generated on the account.' They've sent me a screen dump of Jan/Feb behind the scenes payments being credited to my account, and also Dec-19 bill which shows my Jan/Feb payments being made there instead. So the only issue I've gone back on now is July 2020 offset amount as only now £88.41 adrift....
Reply from Ofgem - I know it can't help us now due what's in place, but fingers crossed can hopefully help in future for anyone in our position - "Thank you for your email to Jonathan Brearley, Ofgem’s chief executive. I have passed your email to our dedicated consumer affairs team. They will look into the issues that you have raised and respond to you directly. We aim to respond to enquiries within ten working days."0 -
Tonik are bloody clowns.
They've just emailed me 'proof' of October payment. Looks like it might've been a copy of my October bill, you know, when we got bills month by month instead of scattered every which way as per my screenshots.
Regardless, they should have it showing in the bills they're allowing to be accessible and they don't.
I need to tot up everything I've paid. Work out these credits and then see what's left once this is deducted from the bills. If it matches their final figure fair enough. If not then we'll have to go back and forth again.0
