I've emailed Tonik asking for clarity as their previous email required more effort.
Whatever the weather, they're not getting a coin from me until I'm happy. If we go to court then we go to court. I've the evidence to show that I'm trying to resolve this and that they're being vague.0 -
@JustAnotherSaver - well done you on flagging a fabulous flaw!!
I use this for CEO - https://www.!!!!!! - (I don't think this is letting me post this link it is w w w . c e o e m a i l . c o m )
in my email to Tonik (both help@tonikenergy.com & tonikadministration@deloitte.co.uk) I put - I believe this issue will apply to all Tonik customers rather than a random few due to the system issues the former Tonik had. I'll be representing everyone in my email to Ofgem. I will share any news!
I'm in credit, but my credit should be larger, so not sure how this is going to pan out.....it's already appearing in my SP account0 -
Well I've had this on twitter - when asked if I can move yet and is account moved:
Hi Richard- the migration process has started for your account and this is in the process of being set up, I do apologise for the delay. We will keep you up to date with this on here. - Aimee
Those with Tonik bills anomalies - their terrible IT upgrade caused these issues - I'm sure of it. I had to push hard, as the monthly email to take my bills stopped this time last year until around February this year when they eventually sorted it (after complaining) - I wander if it's linked to that...0 -
@funkyfin2000 - at last some glimmer of movement for you! Honestly I'm putting this in my email to Ofgem too!! They need to have a better timetable in place rather than leave bust customers to their own devices...
Yes, billing issue is definitely linked to their horrendous systems issues, like @JustAnotherSaver said I couldn't share my customer readings a lot of the time, as I could never get logged in...0 -

Oh and I've also basically come to the opinion that I've missed most of the good deals for new energy.......so I'm stuck with SP and then get a new deal in Dec..... pretty !!!!!! off tbh!0

Default response from Tonik administrators - but I guess I'm just STUCK waiting on SP and this god damn Welcome Pack!
Thank you for your email.
Tonik Energy Ltd is ceasing to trade. Ofgem, the energy regulator, has appointed ScottishPower as the new supplier for its customers.
The process of moving all customers from Tonik to ScottishPower is underway however this will take up to 4 weeks. As part of this process you will have been asked to provide ScottishPower with meter readings, these meter readings will be used to close your Tonik account and open your account with them.
Once we’ve closed your account a final bill will be issued, and you will receive an email advising when its ready to view. If your account is in credit, ScottishPower will use this towards your future usage. If your account has an outstanding balance details of how to make the payment will be on the statement.
If you have not already provided a meter reading, please contact ScottishPower on contactus@scottishpower.com, or call 0800 040 7181 - the call centre is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
Thank you

Surely we are all WELL over 4 weeks for SP to get our accounts setup and Welcome packs out? Hence we should be getting recompense in the first place!0

@funkyfin2000 - holy shmoly - when did you get the SP email 'Action Required: Your Tonik Energy account has moved to ScottishPower' where we had to provide our meter readings & DD details - I got mine back on 13 Oct if helpful....this might be useful in your complaint too...plus not sure if you're interested in this as MSE isn't even featured in it - https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/consumers/household-gas-and-electricity-guide/how-switch-energy-supplier-and-shop-better-deal/compare-gas-and-electricity-tariffs-ofgem-accredited-price-comparison-sites0
