Guys I checked if my Gas showed as Scottish Power on the link provided a few pages back, but the electric one shows some weird company like CADENT or something...... is there a better link to check if the electric is moved on the national database at all?
@funkyfin2000 - Cadent will be your network operator - you would have to call their general enquiries line to find out - as there's no online link like there is for your gas supplier...
  • Quick question please.  I have been reading through the thread. So far I have had an email from Tonik with my final bill, and an email from Scottish Power titled 'Your ScottishPower Tarrif Information'.  Is this email from Scottish Power the 'welcome pack' or do I need to wait for something else? Thanks for your help.

Switch to British Gas Evolve going through. SP account showing it is going through. Email from SP offering an exclusive tariff to stay - online exclusive January 2022 SM2. Only problem is that the tariff is virtually same as Basic Energy v2 online we have all been put on which everyone is complaining about!!! Also email asks me to click on a link to say main reason for leaving - there is a list of 4 options but you can only choose 1 and then the link is broken!!!
  • @blueincubus - I'm afraid the Tariff info email is not your welcome pack.  No one on here appears to have received it yet...
@Malchester - fabulous news for you!
Roll on 16th when I'm switching no matter what, unless my welcome pack arrives before then (wishful thinking!)

I see - thanks for your help.

I emailed the SP CEO as someone suggested on here, after I'd received another email saying it would be another couple of weeks until my account was setup. Anyway, a few hours after that email to the CEO I got my email from SP with account number/tariff etc. Coincidence? Maybe. It's a start though...

And now another email. And it sounds like I can start a switch now too, even though I haven't received a welcome pack yet. Progress!

I am glad to confirm that your account setup is successfully completed. We have already shared the Welcome Letter along with tariff rate and payment details. You shall receive the same within next couple of day. Your account number is xxxxxxxxx.

You can choose a tariff that may better suit your needs now. It's free of charge to change between ScottishPower tariffs at any time.

Interesting. I have never had an email from SP welcoming me, or saying my account is set up, nor have I had a welcome pack. But this morning I had a call from Complaints saying they had agreed to me switching - very good of them to say the switch has been ongoing for a few days!. Then the person said I hope that settles your complaint. I said that had she actually read my complaint - she hadn't and was trying to fob me off by letting me go. She also said they would see what they could do with the tariff rate for the short time I was with them.
  • This was the last info I had from SP back on Oct 22nd (bar the email about setting up 7 Direct Debits) - nothing since - emailed CEO now as mentioned:

    Dear

Thank you for providing information that we recently asked for as part of your move to ScottishPower. This helps ensure your new ScottishPower account is set up quickly and accurately. We'll be in touch if we need anything else from you.

We'll soon be sending you details on how to set up your online account as well as information about your new ScottishPower tariff, including your prices and payment plan.

In the meantime, please don't cancel your Direct Debit with Tonik Energy as this will be used to settle your final bill with them. Tonik Energy will send this to you shortly.

Thank you for your continued support during your move to ScottishPower - we're working hard to make this as smooth as possible for you.

    Thank you,
