I received an email today for my family's flights on the 26th June to Rhodes and it states
"Further to your recent enquiry, please find attached documentation in relation to the cancellation of your flight booking."
I have not enquired and the mail had four documents attached, one for each passenger, saying a refund has been processed. However is not entirely clear on the statement if I am getting the refund, it states that I have cancelled the flights and the total refund figure is showing as a negative amount. Needless to say I have not received any refund, has anyone else received a similar mail recently?0 -
Your refund is being processed and should be back in your account within 48 hours, providing the payment card used is still valid.usas01 said:I received an email today for my family's flights on the 26th June to Rhodes and it states

You may have received a previous email:-We’re sorry that your flight is no longer going ahead due to the unprecedented coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. We know how much you were looking forward to a well-deserved break. Please see below for your affected booking(s).
We will automatically refund the total cost of your booking. This will be credited to the card you paid with within the next 28 days.
Please note that you’ll be automatically sent documentation that may seem irrelevant to the transaction above. This is part of a process that we can’t change at the moment while we’re focusing on dealing with the high volume of affected bookings.

We have a holiday booked through Jet2.com Holidays to Venice commencing on July 02nd and have just received confirmation along with atol certificate. It appears Italy are advising that we will be able to travel, without quarantine so long as we stay local to our accommodation. Given the government are advising against all non essential travel, and assuming this will remain the same, where do we stand with regard to a full refund? Self isolation on return to the U.K. is also not a good prospect from a work viewpoint.
Any thoughts etc would be very welcome0 -
If it's a package holiday it is very unlikely (maybe no chance at all) that it will go against FCO advice.Mental_As_Anything said:We have a holiday booked through Jet2.com Holidays to Venice commencing on July 02nd and have just received confirmation along with atol certificate. "The new regulations give customers the right to cancel where the incident significantly affects the performance of your holiday, so you can cancel your package holiday and receive a refund. Such situations will usually arise where the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) issues advice against travel to the destination."

If you choose to cancel then no you will not get your money back I’m afraid. I would hang tight for them to cancel because I’m pretty certain you will not be going to Italy on that date!sugar_daddy1237 said:I'm due to fly to Italy on 5th July. Obviously Jet2 say they will restart flights from 17th June. I'm apprehensive about going, firstly due to CV 19 and health
/safety reasons. Secondly I think the attractions may not be open which I'm going to see. Is there a way out? Can I cancel and get my money back?
Getting abit nervous now. Check in Online begins tomorrow. Jet2 flights due to begin 1st July. FCO still advising against all but essential travel to Italy.Mrsn said:
