Good evening everyoneRoundtuit, zippy congratulations on those lovely losses! 👏
monnagran I’m glad you’re on my team! Thank you very much indeed for your kind words 💐💐💐 - I’d take you up on your offer to wield your high-five chair, but most of the people who did the damage are now “late” - or toast if you believe in hell! - but definitely worm-tucker
Molly, dumpling, all best wishes for your health this week. Be brave, stay strong, we’re all rooting for you
Very interesting discussion about the 5:2 diet. I follow the Harcombe diet, which is very similar in some respects, and suits my lifestyle and the way I like to eat. When I come a cropper weight-wise it’s when I cheat and sabotage myself.
Today I worked in the garden - very hot! I’m currently disentangling an overgrown bay tree and pyracantha which are wreathed in winter-flowering jasmine and clematis. Birds nested there earlier this year, and I’ve already found one nest (empty, I checked) lined with Senior Doggy’s fur. It’s in the sunniest part of the garden and is earmarked for veg, currently it’s the answer to the neighbour’s Leylandii at the front
In Blue_Doggy’s bowl today
B : bacon, eggs, and a mushroom sautéed in butter
L : cheese with a salad of celery, apple, and green olives; tangerine
D : Italian cold meats with a salad of lettuce, tomato and cucumber with a hm dressing; strawberries with top-of-the-milk from unhomogenised milk from the farm shop; 2 glasses red wine
Other: 3 squares dark chocolate“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Evening All
Blue, monagran, said it all you deserve to be what ever you choose to be, those 'people' have no power or right to dictate what you can be.
monagran, just a side note, I love the high five with a chair, just spat my tea out when I read that 😂
Good luck Molly and dumpling, keeping everything crossed for you xx
Well work day and I hate Monday's, my body gets out of plan so quick after the weekends, by 10:30 I was ravenous, my tummy was making some very load grumblings, I tried taming it with a cereal bar then threw an apple at it half an hour later, as lunch wasn't until 2 I resorted to lots of water and very loud coughing to try and hide the noise!
B muesli, fruit and nat yog
cereal bar, apple
L lo chilli and rice, cherries 😋
D tuna salad.Xx'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess

Evening all 🙂. Sorry I have been reading along I've just been a little lapse in posting 😐
Ditty and zippy congratulations in reaching your targets for the quarter 👏👏 and all other losesand STSs
Blue I have what I call my self destruct button, when I'm doing well and losing weight and getting where I want to I seem to sabotage myself almost subconsciously I think I'm probably doing the same as you. We all need to realise we are worth it
One of my sisters whose in her mid 70s fell and broke her shoulder yesterday in their garden she has been shielding as a bad asthmatic with COPD, my BIL couldn't get her up it seems she's gained a lot of weight this year I think it was in a awkward spot as well she's still in hospital which isn't the best place for her. My BIL has been worried as he couldn't even get her to leave the house/ garden to walk around the block so not sure if this will help, hopefully she will be out tomorrow but my bil was only able to speak on the phone as he can't go in to visit. Unfortunately all three of my eldest sisters have Osteoporosis a gift from my mum and aunts
Food wise I've had healthy meals and not so healthy snacks today, I've been good all weekend but as with Sirens i have problems on Monday
B - overnight oats with berries
L - LO cold lamb and salad
D - portobello mushrooms stuff with rice & mince
S - Tesco own cornetto, crunchy bar and three crackers with cheeseLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin9 -
Followed yesterday's plan. Unofficial WI this morning suggests I've said goodbye to another 1 lb which means I'm hopeful for tomorrow's 'official' one.
Today's plan:
B - coffee, breakfast cereals, semi-skimmed milk, banana
M - coffee, Kourkoubini
L - chilli bean non carne, rice, prune juice
A - cereal bar, Sarsaparilla drink
D - sunflower seed bread, Brie, peach
(1631 calories)

Thank you everyone and especially gingerlily for your inputs on the fast 800 diet and its variations, all much appreciated. I've lost 36lb since August with the help of the good folk on these forums but that's just 58% of the weight I needed to lose to get me in the healthy bmi range - I still have 28lb to go, so I do need to switch it up a bit as I've done a lot of stalling these last 6 weeks.
Yesterday I had;
L hm carrot soup, 25g cheddar, small apple
D 80g gammon 100g potatoes carrots and broccoli, ¼ honeydew melon
S half an orange, 1 slice brown bread no butter yes marmite.
Have a good day everyone 🌻A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome we can spare it, yellow socks7 -
It has been good knowing you nice people but I'm off now.
I made an error of judgment in posting on a different sub-board about being annoyed with a local instance of illegality (not Covid-19-related) and the police not being interested. I was therefore called Hyacinth Bucket, probably not the worst bit of name-calling on these boards.
I wish you all well.

Morning All,
I'm not sure what happened but I just hit 'Post Comment' and got directed to About MSE rather than it actually posting. Hmmm, maybe I should remember to copy this in case it happens again.
General Grant Sorry that you feel you need to leave. Could you not stay but stick to the friendlier sub forums?
There was rather a lot to catch up on so well done to the losers (there were a couple of amazing ones in there) and STSers and commiserations for any gains.
Thank you for the birthday wishes. Even though it wasn't quite how I'd planned spending the day I had a lovely time anyway. Seeing as I've had a few days off, which involved quite a lot of cake and alcohol, I decided against weighing in yesterday. I know that it's not going to be pretty and I didn't want to upset myself by seeing just how far off track I've gone so I'll spend the next week trying to get it together a bit so that I can start the next challenge afresh.
Blue Doggy and Brambling, I tend to self-sabotage as well and I'm not entirely sure why. It's like it's a combination of not feeling like I deserve to have what I want and kind of hiding behind my weight - if I'm fat I can blame that for being miserable whereas losing weight would mean I'd have to think more about the reasons behind it. I love monnagran's chair high five and can definitely think of a few people who'd benefit from one.
Brambling Wishing your sister a speedy recovery and I hope that this doesn't make her even more reluctant to go for a walk.
Best of luck and stay safe everyone xx6 -
Hi ,
Well done zippy on the loss and reaching challenge target and ditty on reaching your challenge target.
General grant, sorry you feel you need to go. I don’t much venture past the old style boards.
Glad you had a nice if different kind of birthday Izadora.
Your poor sister Brambling, hope she has a swift recovery.
I’m not familiar with the harcombe diet Bluedoggy will have a look. I think it makes a big difference finding a plan that suits how you eat and your lifestyle.
Yesterday I had a cup of tea with almond milk late afternoon with a piece of dark raw chocolate. I then wasn’t overly hungry at dinner so didn’t prepare dessert. I had a smaller salad and added pine nuts, I’d forgot I’d bought them.
Today’s menu is/will be
Breakfast: raspberries, strawberries Greek yoghurt, chia seeds. Coffee with cream
Lunch: chicken, broccoli and cauliflower leftovers with mushrooms in a creamy mustard sauce.
Dinner: rest of greek salad with a few pine nuts.
Evening snack: milk chocolate
Take care all

Good evening everyone
Brambling I hope your sister is making/will make a good recovery, and at,least was able to get home today.
SIRENS Thank youI hope you had a better day today, is it work-related stress that makes you ravenous? And feeling self-conscious about a rumbly tum just makes it worse.
Izadora it sounds as though you enjoyed your birthday and your days off, so that’s good.Thinking about why I self sabotage, Izadora may just have identified one possible cause, that being overweight makes it possible to hide from other issues. I think for me being fat and wearing large unattractive clothes instead of well-fitting ones helps me avoid situations I lack the social skills to deal with. I don’t think anyone was particularly horrid to me in the past, there’s always the odd jibe but that’s the way of things. But this is a work in progress, so lots of thinking to do.It was much too hot today to work in the garden, so I just potted up some sweet peas I bought on Saturday, and pulled up some weeds. Junior Doggy supervised and offered to help 😯
Eaten today
B : porridge
L : marinated herring pieces with lettuce and tomato; tangerine; two bowls of oatmeal with milk
(I was ravenous, no idea why, except that lunch was late, over 6 hours after I finished breakfast.)
D : grilled lamb chop, peas, carrot, cabbage; raspberries with top-of-the-milk
S : 3 squares of 85% chocolate“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️
