Hi
If you hang some of those flying ducks up too monnagran surely gangsta granny can’t object to such a masterpiece.
Well done on the loss Brambling. Boulder holders lol, mines off as soon as I’m through the door.
I wasn’t very hungry so skipped the salad for dinner yesterday and just had dessert. Managed to find room for the chocolate though 🙄
Menu for today
Breakfast: Greek yoghurt, strawberries, rasps, redcurrants and chopped nuts. Coffee with cream.
Lunch: omelette with salad. Choc chia pudding.
Dinner: deconstructed chicken fajitas (chicken, peppers and onions, avocado, salsa, sour cream all bunged in a bowl) chopped iceberg instead of torn tortillas.
Evening snack: milk chocolate.
Take care all.

Good evening everyone
monnagran oh! I’m disappointed, I’d have hoped for perhaps a chequerboard pattern with your forest green and, say, autumn gold? Not asking for tartan, or lozenges, or even gingham, simple square checks would do. Given that you are preparing daily feasts ... 😄 😂🤣
gingerlily I like the addition of flying ducks. “Chopped iceberg” sounds just the right food for this weather!
Too hot to garden this morning, online games with friends this afternoon. Was watching “Talking Heads” this evening until I woke up to something else entirely!
Thursday’s menu
B : porridge
L : Italian antipasti meats, salad (lettuce, cucumber, radishes, olives); tangerine
D : grilled beef steak, tomatoes, pepper, mushrooms; strawberries and yogurt; 2 glasses red wine
S : 2 squares 85% chocolate“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Monna If it's a Hawaiian sunset I think you need flying parrots or toucans rather than ducks 🙂
Unfortunately my sister was moved into intensive care during the night and needed dialysis today which they are hoping is a one off, they think some kind of virus in the blood it seems she hasn't felt well for a while but wouldn't go to the doctors. Not that a broken shoulder is lucky but it did mean she was already in hospital when she became very ill.
Luckily the heat put me off of stress eating which meant lunch was pineapple and melon and dinner sea bass fillet, new potatoes broccoli and French beans
hope you're all surviving the heatLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin9 -
Oh no Brambling I hope she makes a rapid recovery - thoughts are with you x
I went back to breast clinic today. Well the news was positive - i am so relieved. I have peri-ductal mastitis a condition which is benign and has come on over many years.
I now need to get through tomorrow (a day in hospital for tests etc) related to another condition. Not looking forward to it but has to be done.
I celebrated with a couple of spoonfuls of ice cream - yummy. Going to have to stop this nibbling - Im having raspberries and cream (only a handful) every day atm but they are only in season for such a short time so going to enjoy them.
Thank you for all your kind and supportive comments - especially tighteningthebelt - as your post was very reassuring at a time when I really needed it xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.10 -
Just popping in to report my weekly weigh in - STS
Well, my new scales say I have lost quarter of a pound but I was very thirsty this morning so I know if I was hydrated that would disappear. I'm pleased with STS as it has been a week of distractions so the diet and exercise are out of the window. Hoping to get back to it soon enough. This is my last weigh-in of the quarter, so I didn't make the 10 pounds I wanted to lose, but I will take 6lbs very happilyI am going to try for lose 8lbs next quarter, so that October will see me into the 11 stones's (just).
Sending hugs to everyone - I did have a quick skim read through all the posts. This is a really amazingly supportive group

Morning All,
Sorry for yesterday's absence, I'd managed to read through everything but work was pretty busy so didn't have time to post. Well, that and the fact that it was far too sunny to spend my lunch break indoors
I'm so sorry for what a lot of you went through with your mums, someone that should offer unconditional love being that hurtful is incredibly cruel and you're all amazing for making peace with it.
ditty Well done for dealing with the kayaking incident. It reminds me of the one and only time I went canoeing - I spent more time in the water than the canoe!
Brambling Well done on the loss and sorry to hear about your sister. It's not good that she's in hospital but at least she's in the best place to get the care she needs
roundtuit Thanks for the earworm, I've been singing "I am what I am" to myself quite a lot
Blue Doggy Did you win the games? I quite often only realise I've been asleep on the sofa because what's on TV has changed
monnagran Go on, tussle with the GGI think having a beautiful painting in the garden would be lovely.
Gingerlily I reckon I have a separate chocolate tummy that still has space even when I'm full up with dinner
Molly I'm so pleased that it was positive news and I hope your next appointment goes well
supersaver Well done on the STS and thank you for the reminder that the next quarter finishes in October. We've got a silver anniversary party to go to then and I'm hoping that rewarding myself with something fabulous to wear will be a good incentive to do better (let's face it, I couldn't do much worse) on the next challenge.
Best of luck and stay safe everyone xx11 -
Good morning all,
I have a 1 lb loss to report. It seems that sugar free will be staying for a while then.
Brambling, I hope that your sister is feeling better today. What an awful time she's having.
Molly I'm glad that your test results were good. Fingers crossed that today isn't too traumatic for you.
Gingerlily your deconstructed fajitas sound lovely.
I'm also giggling at the thought of Monna's fence painter being scared of GG next door.
Rightio, just a short visit. I have a meetingwith school this morning about the HT's maths ability or lack thereof. He has dyscalculia so it's not entirely his fault but school haven't made any effort to engage with him either. I found him a tutor that he liked but then...coronavirus, sigh.
Take care all of you10 -

Well done losers. Well done STSers. My WI day tomorrow and I'm ironing my black arm band in preparation.
HOWEVER .........my fence is finished which means that I am released from the daily obligation to provide sandwiches, crisps, cakes, bicuits, pasties, sausage rolls and all the other goodies which usually don't darken my doors.
And a new start next Wednesday! Let battle commence.I believe that friends are quiet angels
