Good morning everyone
I haven't been posting but have been reading and cheering you all on from the sidelines. I have completely lost the plot diet-wise and have had 3 takeaways this week. My anxiety is sky high at the moment and all I want to do is eat rubbish to try and calm down a bit. However, I now find myself awake in the middle of the night with crippling stomach ache after supper tonight consisted of fried chicken and cheesy chips. I have drunk 2 pints of water and a cup of tea but still feel icky. Anyway, I am not weighing myself this week as I will find it too depressing but I am planning to get back on track today.
I am literally sick of greasy and sugary food and will be glad to return to fruit and veg. I have shopping being delivered today so at least the salad drawer in the fridge will have something decent in it. Steve wants a steak dinner as it's Father's Day so I will have steak and a salad and he can have the chips and onion rings.

Morning xx
Hugs to dumpling xx It's not easy keeping all the plates spinning when anxiety joins in, is it? And it's not easy staying calm when the whole world seems to be going mad around you. Keep on swimming. Keep on swimming.
Yesterday's intake:
B - none
L - egg & cress sandwich, pineapple chunks
T - mackerel in tomato sauce, cauliflower cheese grills. Magnum lolly
S - Magnum lolly ( yep another one but I counted it in the calories)
D - tea, coffee, water, 7 up free
Calories: 1628
Lunch was a Meal Deal and I chose the pineapple chunks (50 c) over the millionaire's shortbread (over 300 c) which I would usually have. And I really enjoyed the pineapple so that was a win
Take care. Stay safe.

Good morning all,
Well done to the losers and to those who have stayed the same. To all of you, regardless of this week's results, loss, sts or gain, forgive yourself for what you imagine your faults to be and move on. Sometimes, doing the best that you can does not involve doing what you imagined in your head, but we're all coping with different life challenges.
I'm still aiming for no sweets or crap with sugar in so I bought an ice cream maker and some sugar free syrups. It's the most enthusiastic I've seen the HT about making things in the kitchen for ages. It's just a small 1.1 litre one so I stand a chance of fitting it in the freezer. What I did was take things out of one drawer, put the bowl in the bottim then piled the food in and around it. It fitted in easily - it takes 10 hours to freeze up but only 6 if you clean it after ice cream making and put it straight back in. dumpling I think you ahould buy one for Lee (Argos, Magimix 1.1 l £35) and challenge him to find some healthy low sugar low carb recipes to make for you. There's loads on the internet.
Today's meals....
B : Slimming world friendly sausages from the butchers with cherry tomatoes
L : Slices of topside beef spread with low fat cream cheese, add lettuce leaves, sprinkle with balsamic vinegar and roll up
D : Roast chicken breast, couple of tiny potatoes, plenty of veg, little bit of gravy (not that keen on gravy)
Snacks : small bowl of strawberries, some sugar free home made ice cream
Take care all of you11 -
Blue: be very careful about pandering to what weight your body wants to be. Mine seems to aspire to be 16 or 17 stones and it takes all my time and energy to resist obliging it. So far I have fought it tooth and nail, but the writing is always on the wall.
ouraggie: love the username, by the way, that is a good tip about the puffed wheat. Anything that looks a lot or takes an age to chew through is taking a sneaky advantage on the bit of your head that is telling you to eat more.
dumpling: oh, my poor darling, you will maybe feel much better when you get the results of your tests and can relax a bit.
I just want to give you a hug, pat your back and assure you that everything will be all right in the end.
As you may remember, when I am overcome by the urge to eat rubbish I make for my extra strong mints. Sometimes I even make it before the rubbish gets into my mouth. It's worth a try.
roundtuit: like your thinking. Magnum lollies should be part of every diet.
Cranky: now you speak the sort of language I like. I am going to investigate the said ice Cream maker. I might have to buy another freezer, but if it gives me guilt free ice cream it'll be worth it. Sugar-free syrups sound like a contradiction in terms. Go for it.

Yesterday consumed 1472 calories but did little exercise (short time gardening to help with Vit D and up and down stairs in my town house). Today's plan:
B - coffee, breakfast cereals, semi-skimmed milk
M - coffee, Kourkoubini
L - baked beans on seeded white toast, strawberry yoghurt
D - beef lasagne*, peas, banana
(1436 calories - low enough for weight loss)
* going shopping this afternoon so may adjust dinner

Hi all. Just checking in with today's good intentions:
Br = before-shower-jaffa-cake; post-shower-cereal (300)
Lu - 2 poached eggs on toast;Greek yoghurt (360,60 )
Snack - biscuit bar (120)
Di - salmon and prawn risotto made with tinned salmon, ( 120+30+215)
Total 1,250 approx. Ooh, might blow the last 250 on something decadent.
Realised today that OH has been liberally using all my posh Garnier pore-cleansing gel, thinking it was shower gel! It is green, in a pump dispenser, so I forgave him. I had been thinking it was going down very quickly but my fears were confirmed this morning when it was in the wrong place in the shower caddy. He confessed when questioned. I have told him he is the one who will be queuing up outside Superdrug to get the replacement! I
Still, he did mow the lawn the other day, and can now probably be guilt-tripped into playing Monopoly with me later so not all is lost.
Have a lovely Sunday, everyone. Next week will be nice and sunny, so hopefully we will all feel positive and can eat lots of salad to see off those unwanted lbs.10 -

Afternoon All
Hugs Dumpling, it's so hard to get into the right head space sometimes, take your time, one step at a time xx
Cranky, I had an ice cream maker when the kids were younger, we used to do a lot of frozen yoghurt in it, they loved strawberry yoghurt frozen with extra strawberries cut up and chucked in, pretty healthy too...not sure what happened to it might have a look under the stairs as that's where most of my gadgets end up...I'm sure they'd like to try it again, you've inspired me!
Yesterdays meals
B fruit
L toasted cheese and onion sandwich
D peri peri chicken with loaded wedges and corn on the cob, was delicious, luckily I have extra chicken for next weeks lunches.
Today as it's Father's Day we will be having our monthly takeaway, the family have voted on Chinese (not my favourite I like fish and chips 😋) I have made a strawberry flan for pud, so not too unhealthy, have also baked some choc chip cookie cake for the dk's and dh ( he is off next week) and did a batch for work colleagues, they won't last the hour at work, they are all young and built like bean poles!

Good evening everyone
monnagran I shall do my very best not to let my bod get comfy where it thinks it ought to be, it has been shown how lovely things could be and now needs a good shove... I’m starting to wonder if there isn’t an element in my mind also resisting, I’m getting odd thoughts along the lines of not deserving to be slim. Could need a bit of unpacking and decluttering 🤔.
Dumpling Hugs. Wishing you a better week.
Cranky enjoy your homemade ice creams, you can experiment with loads of flavours.
Weighing in today with an STS. If only I were several inches taller, I’d be at the perfect weight. Anyone know how an older lady can grow upwards instead of outwards?
Today’s food
B : porridge (50g oats, water = 188 calories - I don’t usually count calories, but just checked for my usual bowlful)
E : slice of fruit cake
D : lamb chop, peas, carrots, cabbage; strawberries and 60ml ice cream
T : one tangerine, one kiwi fruit, lots of fat free yogurt
S : 2 squares dark chocolate
Have a lovely week, people!“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️
