Morning Losers.
Blue, hope you are feeling a bit better today. Don't know what icy hands denote and don't know what you could do about them (I'm no Florence Nightingale) but it sounds uncomfortable. If it's any comfort, a forlorn hope probably, your body will be trying to get your temperature back to the status quo and using up lots of calories in the process, causing your tiny hands to become less frozen and your scales to become ecstatic. I don't know if that is the way it works, but it sounds feasible.
Well done all those happily climbing into their smaller sized clothes, though I'm not too sure about purple trousers ditty.
I would be happy to fit into the clothes I was wearing a year ago, but I should have done something about my weight straight after Christmas and not waited until the sun began to shine.
Man still here painting my fence and I'm still keeping him company with the frequent tea and biscuits. Delicious but unwise.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Hello x
Well done to those getting into smaller clothes it certainly is a motivator x
Im having a rotten day today had a huge row with DH over money - me spending again - im trying but he really down and its all my fault. My go to in this situation is food but NO im not succumbing !!!! (well i did have a taste of the millionaires short bread - my mother gobbled down two huge slices - goodness only how as its very rich )
Its our 26th wedding anniversary tomorrow so I hope we made friends by then - actually he had a disturbed night so he having a sleep - hope he wakes up less grumpy!
Anyway now I've offloaded lots of love xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.8 -
Molly, it's just one of those things that happens every so often. Probably nothing to do with you. He was probably miffed about something, or maybe just feeling a bit down, and in my (pretty extensive) experience of the adult male, if he is out of sorts with the world it has to be someone's fault. Usually the nearest person to hand and often for any old trumped up charge. The one thing they find almost impossible to say is, "I'm sorry, I was wrong."
It's perfectly true that in any marriage one person is usually right and the other person is the husband.
Well done for not hitting the biscuit barrel in a big way.I believe that friends are quiet angels

General_Grant sometimes it takes our brains a while to get into diet mode🙂
I hope you're feeling better Blue. And Molly I hope you and your DH have made your peace, it's difficult times and if you add the disappointment of your cancelled trip things mount up, we tend to hurt the ones closest to us
well it's been another grey day which is matching my mood it'll pass but I'm just a bit blah at the moment 😐 I've lived on my own a long time and I don't usually mind it, unless something goes wrong but lockdown means I miss proper face to face contact and touching another person and I would have said I'm not usually a touchy-feely type of person. So this is my excuse for avoiding the scales this morning as I've eaten rubbish since a visit to Lidl on Saturday 🙄 tomorrow I'll pull my big girl pants on (let's be honest they are all big pants 🥺) and get on with it

Molly we have had many an upset about money. Tbh its usually DH doing the spending and upsetting me. He's getting better at not spending and I'm getting better at not making him feel really bad about it. I am sure you will sort it out.
I've been ditching some more clothes to the CS bag - determined not to need them again - and they are huge on me now. I think I must have lost a lot of those 4.5lbs on my top half. When this is all over I need a new bra, smaller knickers and some holdy-in ones for my wobbly tum.
Ditty good for you and your purple trousersI've got to say that DD tried on my old jeans that I was proud to get back into - I think she described them as retro or something not so polite
I haven't worn them for five years and probably had them five years before but I will wear them with pride x
Edit - Brambling - sorry you're having a blah day. The weather doesn't help and no small talk even at the supermarket doesn't help. xx

Morning xx
I'm here cheering you all on from the land of lurkdom. Things have picked up at work - I think all the people who have been waiting for lockdown to ease before they call are now ringing. So we've gone from bored and endless days to very busy time-flying days with nothing in between. I do prefer busy but it's mentally draining - I'm coming home shattered and flumping in the evenings. Last night I flumped and ate....several of those small boxes of cereal as there was nothing else sweet in the house. I'll adjust.
After a couple of 'no idea' days my car has been named: Feargal.
Oh and I'm wearing a pair of trousers that were too tight to be comfortable for work when I bought them but fit perfectly now. It's a lovely feeling.
Love to all.
Rxx

Hello All,
Sorry for not dropping by while I had time off but I turned the laptop off once I finished work on Friday and I find really difficult to post from my phone. Sorry if I missed anything, there was a lot to catch up on!!
Black Saturn Well done on the STS and I hope that things are less difficult now
Blue Doggy Well done on the STS and getting into your pre-lockdown-purchase jeans. I hope the cold's improving
Brambling I hope things are feeling less grey today. Will the news that you can pick one other household to create a bubble with help you or leave you in such an awkward position of choosing between people that you're better off staying as you are?
Cranky Commiserations on the gain. At least it was only a very tiny one and I'm sure it'll drop off again quickly
ditty Although the scales don't seem to be wanting to play at least you're fitting back into old clothes, which is always such a lovely feeling
dumpling I'm glad things are going well and it's lovely that you and other family members can support each other's weightloss
General Grant Commiserations on the gain and I agree with you about cleaning windows - doing the second side only ever seems to highlight how much I missed on the first side
Gingerlily I'd be pretty upset if I couldn't eat bread but it's nothing compared to not having potatoes!! I hope reintroducing them goes well
greenbee Freezing bread is a great idea for making you think about whether you really want it or not
Molly I hope that everything's seeming better today and a very happy anniversary to you.
monnagran Well done on the loss. I swear someone somewhere knows when you're baking for other people and throws a spanner in the works. I hope you're feeling better after biscuitgate and are happy with your fence
roundtuit Well done on the loss, the stress hormones obviously did a good job, and celebrating with pizza and chips seems entirely reasonable. I hope that all's going well with Feargal and congratulations on the increased fitness and no-longer-too-tight trousers
supersaver Congratulations on getting into your smaller clothes and well done for sorting out your wardrobe.
TTB Well done on your losses and I hope that the recovery is still going well
zippy Well done on your loss
I was very pleased on Monday that I was brave enough to get on the scales as it was a STS. I was quite surprised as I had a great/terrible weekend (depending on whether you measure it by fun had or food eaten) and I know that I really need to lose weight but, for now, I'll take not putting on any more. Food choices have been a bit hit and miss the past couple of days as we celebrated our anniversary and IzHe's birthday so I need to try to do some damage limitation before celebrating my birthday next week.
Best of luck and stay safe everyone xx12
