Old Style Weight Loss 2020 - Part 2

Hello
Hope you are feeling better soon Molly41.
Belated birthday wishes Blue Doggy.
Those are great goals Roundtuit.
The only addition to yesterday’s plan was a small bubbly bunny milk chocolate slightly better than the day before at 65 calories.I’m resigned to the counting of calories plus carbs now as it’s the only way I can lose. I agree with the focusing on food too much though and it’s a right pain having to weigh everything. I suspect I’m at that age where hormones are influencing things.Today’s food
breakfast: poached egg and bacon and toms and mushrooms. Coffee with cream.
lunch: chicken and sautéed spinach. Strawberries and cream.Dinner: cottage cheese salad.Snack : nuts dusted in cocoa powder.Have a good day all.Old Style Weight Loss Challenge 2025

Morning Losers.
Quick visit to say Well Done to everyone, whether you have lost or not. You are all hanging on there and that's what matters. Slow and Steady wins the race, and other annoying platitudes.
Molly, you be careful now, as everyone else has said - health comes first.
No 2 son is coming over with a friend today, to try to make sense of the broken concrete and weeds that occupy the space behind my house. It would be nice to have a garden again. Will come back later. xI believe that friends are quiet angels

Oh bad luck Black Saturn. If it was just the barbecue it will probably go quickly.
I now have a sort of garden at the back. I can see where gravel paths are, (all over the place and leading nowhere) and where the lawn is supposed to be, (patches of weeds and rndom slabs of broken paving stones.)
At least I have something to work on now. DS worked like a Trojan in the blazing sun, but he loves it. I lurk in the shade and can't stand the heat. People are funny animals aren't they?I believe that friends are quiet angels

Good evening all,
Blue_Doggy. I'm glad that you enjoyed your birthday.
The HT woke me up at 5:55am this morning so we went out for a walk. A 10 minute drive takes us to the prom and the tide was in so lovely in the early morning sun. I've also done run one of C25K week 5 and watered the garden.
roundtuit your plan sounds good.
Monna I'm glad that you're getting a garden.
Take care all of you8 -
Good evening everyone
Thank you, kind people, for your birthday wishes 🥳
Black_Saturn sorry to hear you’ve gained a little, but as monnagran says it will hopefully be easy to lose
Brambling here’s hoping that what you lose in our company will stay lost (with the exception of sewing machine parts, of course).
I’m into Ancient Lard territory now, so I expect it’ll be harder work.
Supersaver well done on being able to wear your shorts, a real triumph
roundtuit it’s a very long time since I’ve heard “white rabbits” on the first of a month! 🐇🐇 Best wishes for the accomplishment of all three of your goals.I am completely with you on the third, my home has gradually become a tip and needs massively sorting out. (Long tale for another time.)
Gingerlily hormones are quite the joker in the pack, good luck though, you can do itMonnagran’s idea of enjoying every mouthful is good.
Monnagran well done to your son for getting so much done in this heat. Are you photographing the step-by-step transformation from concrete yard to Chelsea prize-winning garden?
CRANKY early mornings are particularly beautiful at this time of year. Well done on getting your exercise done (sand reminding me about garden watering)Having well and truly sabotaged myself yesterday, I’m going the pretty way back onto the strait and narrow. Hopefully I’ll get there sometime soon, but having reached a milestone yesterday, I’m almost scared of losing more. I must, I must though, the next milestone (9 lbs away) is the weight I was when I got married forty years ago (-2 lbs is weight at divorce, but we don’t want to talk about that).
You can see what I mean by Ancient Lard, though 😂🤣🤪
Food for the “pretty way”
B : grilled sausages with scrambled eggs
L : fat-free yogurt with raspberries; slice of cake (gift from friend, no room for it yesterday)
AT : cream tea (one scone, jam, clotted cream, slice of cake)
D : cold roast chicken with salad (lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes); strawberries & cream ; 2 glasses of wine
S : none“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

B - porridge with bits in
L - 2 fried eggs (low cal spray) on toast, mousse
T - Fish, cauliflower cheese grills, Blue Riband Caramel (99 cals}
D - Tea, coffee, diet coke
S - none
Calories = 1476
I went for a 15 minute walk with DS. Loved the cool breeze. And I gathered together all the loose carrier bags in the kitchen (I think they've been breeding) and Marie Kondo folded them so that they all fit in one bag. So that's a step in the right direction for Goals 1,2 and 3.
Keep on keeping on lovely ladies

As long as the bbq was worth the small gain Black_Saturn and you had a good time
Roundtuit I think your goals slot nicely togetherthe exercise should help with the diet and if you're like me the decluttering and tidying will take your mind off eating by keeping you busy 🙂
Monna I'm also a shade lover, I'm a delicate pale skinned English Rose, my siblings and I are split into two camps those of us who look at the sun and burn unless we're wearing at least SF25 and those who look at it and go very brown and stay that way until Christmas 🙄 I'm glad you almost have a garden again 🙂 it was hot work for your son
I was woken 5am today (I will find the furry alarms' snooze button or he's sleeping downstairs 🙄) and after a trip to the loo I realised I was hungry, not sure why as I had a good dinner at 7pm last night maybe it was the no picking during the evening. I was determined not to get up again but too hungry to go back to sleep so I dozed until the proper alarm went off and unusually for me I had to grab something to eat before showering, only a banana as my breakfast fruit salad was eaten during a 9.15am catchup and planning team call
A last minute meeting with IT meant a quick late lunch before the next call so lunch was scrambled eggs on toast no butter. Dinner was stir fried rice made with loads of chopped veg, pan fried salmon and LO green veg from yesterday.

Hi everyone
First I would like to say sorry for disappearing, I haven't been very well and ended up back in hospital for a couple of days. I have been very stressed and not thinking of eating properly. I have to have a camera test and biopsy in my womb within the next couple of weeks and I am very anxious, not only about the procedure but also the results.
Anyway, can I please report a loss of 11 lbs since the last time I was on here so I can finally stop looking at the horrible purple smilies. I wish I could say it was healthy living but as I am mostly consuming crisps and chocolate it is unlikely.
However, today is a new day, I would like to step away from the junk food and get some actual vitamins in me. My menu today will try to be:
b - scrambled egg and tomato on toast
l - chicken and salad wholemeal wraps
d - chicken korma and cauliflower rice
s - fruit
I am just going to try to improve my diet bit by bit so I feel a bit more in control.
I'm so proud of you all, you have been doing fantastically well and I have been cheering you all on from the sidelines. I will get on here more often especially when I can't sleep as it is helpful to have somewhere to put my thoughts. Thank you everyone xx

Brambling - that was certainly the case yesterday - no snacking at allBut also no water
Just a couple of sips to help my meds down morning and evening: not good! Must try harder.
