Morning (waves) xx
Well done jules xx Hope you got warm eventually and have had a good night.
I'm not getting weighed today. I know I've put weight on. You know I've put weight on. It's now damage limitation week and get weighed next Saturday come hell or high water. And I'm telling myself, and you all, that this is the only pass I'm allowed this quarter.... so if I start making those sort of noises at any time over the next two months please remind me - an accurately flung fluffy mule is acceptable!

Morning all.
blue, you are going to feel bereft...no cake, no wine, no biscuits, November.....what are you going to replace these things with? Water? Kale? Cucumber? Doesn't have quite the same ring to it, does it?
Oh, well done Jules. You will soon get used to portion sizes. If it looks inadequate you've got it about right. Just eat slower. Eating slower is the sort of advice that irritates me. If I eat that slowly my food might be cold before I finished it. Then it wouldn't be at all appetizing and....I.....might.......not........fancy...OH! I get it now.
roundtuit, never mind the fluffy mule. Watch out for the hob-nail boot. I'm sure I have one somewhere.
Now to the really exciting news.
I have lost 1 lb. That's MINUS ONE POUND!
No. I don't believe it either. I can only surmise that the unfortunate episode with the hazelnut chocolate hasn't registered with my lazy body yet. It will though. Oh yes, it certainly will.I believe that friends are quiet angels

HI sorry I'm not up to date with reading but am upset as put 2 pounds back on. So I'm not happy, might have had too much crumble and wine. Will try to be more disciplined when I 'go' back to work, commuting up the stairs!Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Well done on the loss jules.
roundtuit I have square feet - not at all suitable for fluffy mules. My mum did try - the same year that she bought my sister and I high heeled wellingtons. They were useless too. I've always longed for the kind of dainty feet that could wear strappy sandals etc.
Yesterdays experiment was putting lettuce in the freezer in portions. I'm fed up of it going brown before I use it all. The HT won't touch it so whatever I buy has to be eaten by me. I expect it to lose some of it's structural integrity but as I'll be putting it on a sandwich or wrap that won't matter. I'm going to slice up the cucumber and soak it in vinegar so that should keep longer too. I like vinegar and it'll make a change from having it on oven chips which I probably shouldn't be eating anyway.
I'm trying to encourage my sister to lose weight. Over the years I've always been a stone heavier than her. Since I took up running I've been the lighter one. She's now almost 2 stone heavier than me and on the brink of type 2 diabetes (she had the call from the nurse just before we went into lockdown). She wants to lose weight but finds it hard to resist sweets and she has problems with her knee which limits exercise.
This evening's meal will be butter chicken and rice. I actually followed the butter chicken recipe but didn't add the butter which still makes a nice spicy dish but also makes it diet friendly so really its non-butter chicken.
Take care all of you9 -
Hi all
Well done on your weight loss jules
you must be delighted 🤸♂️🤸♀️🤸♂️🤸♀️
You too monna Good going 💃
Sorry you put some on ditty. I don't want to sound patronising but it's good you're still weighing in and posting.
We all have bad weeks.💛
Roundtuit fluffy mule indeed 🤣
Well, on to the boring bit... I started the one meal a day yesterday and it feels ok. It served me well last time so hopefully it'll work this time too.
Today will be vegetable and lentil soup (big bowl!!) with bread roll and cheese. Mums bringing pudding she was mentioning a fruit pie, but we will see. I'll edit later.
Edit... apple pie and plain yogurt.
Have a good day everyone. ☀️A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it

Hi! Can I join? ☺️
The last time I checked (about 2-3 weeks ago) I had gone back up to 14 st 10lbs 😭 I don't have access to scales at the moment as I'm staying with my partner for the foreseeable future. There is a tape measure knocking about somewhere though!
Breakfast this morning was prosciutto, tomato, basil + manchego on leftover crusty bread.
Tonight we've decided on takeaway but not sure what yet, I really can't be bothered cooking today!
We have a few meats like prosciutto and various cheeses in the fridge that need using, as well as two microwave chocolate puddings 😳
I hope everyone is well today!9 -
