Nobody on here is going to be able to answer that but if holidays are still getting cancelled by early summer next year, then the whole industry is doomed.ScottHart said:Does anyone know if I rebook my (soon to cancelled) TUI holiday for say early summer next year and use the 20% discount code, and rebooked holiday then also gets cancelled due to Coronavirus can I use the 20% discount code again?
I appreciate no-one has a crystal ball about what might happen next year or what TUI might do, but just wondered if anyone knew the answer.0 -
As above , I think this year's 20% vouchers are a sweetener to get you to rebook with them. .

Plus I cant really imagine that if Holiday 1 at a cost of £2k is cancelled, and you book Holiday 2 at a cost of £2400 (spending the £400 credit they have given you), they will give you £2880 to book Holiday 3.Browntoa said:As above , I think this year's 20% vouchers are a sweetener to get you to rebook with them. .
It would just be £2400 again to book Holiday 3.0 -
Way it's looking with the new restrictions could be twice current prices .if you cannot fly full planes or fill hotels then the overheads are higher.

It is impractical. If people are wanting to use aircraft they should be aware that its business as usual and people can make a choice themselves whether they want to travel or not on that basis.Browntoa said:Way it's looking with the new restrictions could be twice current prices .if you cannot fly full planes or fill hotels then the overheads are higher.
Wild horses couldnt stop me from going abroad again tbh, middle seats empty or not.0 -

The supply will go down, but also the demand will go down in the short term.
New User name as MSE gave me a number in my old one.

One of the main issues is that insurance companies won’t cover against Covid 19. The only current cover for it is for holidays booked prior to the outbreak.bradders1983 said:

I couldn’t travel overseas without insurance cover for Covid 190 -

I called TUI nearly a month ago to request my package holiday refund. I eventually managed to get through and was told I would get a cash refund. I asked for email confirmation of this, but this was never received. I have now received a credit refund via email.
I have tried calling TUI again they're just auto hanging up with an message saying that they're busy. What's the best course of action at this point? Should I attempt charge back, or is there anything I can do re. ABTA?
I want a refund, I have no interest in rebooking.0 -
Their website states you can ring them once you recieve the credit refund to get it in cash instead.Crystalline said:I called TUI nearly a month ago to request my package holiday refund. Chargeback is pointless. Do the above. Details on the TUI website of the number to ring, you will just have to keep trying if it is busy.
Also if you did a chargeback and it was successful it is essentially fraud as you would have been refunded twice in effect.0
