My flights are showing as refunded yesterday on 'View booking' on the Easyjet website :-)

My outbound flight was for 6 June and was cancelled 21 May.  I filled out the online refund form immediately (even though a- it was 16 days before the flight, b- the return flight hadn't been cancelled at that point) so the refund has taken just over 6 weeks.
  • I had return flights to Majorca in May cancelled. I applied for a refund and have received An email from EasyJet stating that my credit card will be refunded. However the refund sum is just under £200 short. I have worked out that the shortfall is the holiday insurance cover that I booked through EasyJet, although I think the insurer is actually Zurich. Has anyone else had this problem or can anyone offer me advice on the way forward.

If you're expecting the insurance to be refunded in full then I suspect you're in for disappointment - travel insurance typically includes not only cover for while you're away but also the period between booking and travel, so that, for example, if you needed to cancel for health or bereavement reasons then you'd be able to claim on the policy.  The fact that you presumably didn't make such a claim doesn't negate the fact that you'd have had insurance cover in place, so you may be able to negotiate a partial refund but not all - the best place to start would be the Ts & Cs of the policy, and policy cancellation/refund clauses in particular.

Are Easyjet pretending to change flight times and not admitting to cancelling and consolidating flights? If so, how can we argue for a refund as the other family have cancelled in light of Government advice. Any ideas?
I think this is exactly what is happening. I have a flight to Malaga on 28th July currently showing "sold out" but have had no info from EJ except reminders to say I haven't completed the advance passenger info.
There is one flight per day showing around those dates, so it looks as if they are consolidating all flights onto those.
I have no intention of travelling, but would appreciate any advice on the best way to manoeuvre around EJs devious policy of trying to keep as much of it's customer's money as possible
One of the key tests is the flight number - if you have a booking on one flight number and they propose to switch you to another flight number then that effectively triggers cancellation rights, whereas if the number is retained but the departure time is changed then it's not so clear cut.
  • If we want to cancel our flights to Dubrovnik in august, do we have to rebook straight away or can we take a credit to be used at a later date? Thanks

Yep, my next return flight is currently showing sold out for the outward date with a later flight still open but a different number, the return only shows one flight, open and same number as booked, but changed time to a whopping 5 hours 50 mins later. As they are mid August the waiting game is still in play...

Oh dear, easyjet refunded me 2 days before HSBC completed a chargeback refund.
So now I'm holding easyjets money.  Oh how the tables have turned.
I very much doubt it will take them 2 months to sort this one out  :)

I'm the same - got an email on 04/07 saying it had been refunded but like you, the money hasn't yet appeared onto my credit card.
Just wondering if I'll be in the same boat as Intenso !
