I applied for refund on 27/4. That's now eight weeks and still waiting. Every other company that I had any kind of booking with, for flights, hotels, events, etc has refunded me. Easyjet trailing well behind.
  • Sorry to beat you all but we were one of the first flights to be cancelled. I have an email from Easyjet saying that our refund is being processed and to allow 7 days for it to be processed that was 111 days ago nearly 16 weeks!
I have spent hours on the phone to them. They even told me 2 weeks ago that the payment was coming through and still nothing. I've been in the queue on the phone for 48 minutes so far today.......

This is an outrageous length of tome to wait and far exceeds most posters experiences on here.
Why not do a charge back to your card.....

I agree, as soon as I applied for a chargeback easyjet refunded me within 2 days.
Now I'm just waiting to see what happens to tickets we booked for late July to Morocco....

  • Hello there, we are flying to Verona on 18th July, but still not had an email.  Can somebody please advise us on the best customer service number to use, and/or email address?

The only number I have seen is 0330 365 5000  and email customer.service@easyjet.com but that's supposed to be for complaints and will no doubt take longer to get a response from.

Let us know how you get on as their website clearly stated

"If you have an existing booking on a flight which now shows as ‘Sold Out’, we will be in touch at least 21 days before your departure date to confirm your travel details."

Mine was listed as 'Sold Out' but now the schedule doesn't even start until September.  It's now 21 days before departure and (not surprisingly) I haven't heard anything from them.... so the statement on their site is obviously untrue.

My outbound flight is 15th July and was listed as Sold Out for the past couple of weeks. I just received the cancellation email this morning.
  • I booked return flights LGW to Porto, out on 26/6, back on 8/7 (for 8 people). Two weeks ago easyJet cancelled the outbound leg and I requested a refund. (We also cancelled our holiday accommodation and received a quick, full refund from AirBnb).

Since I'd booked both directions in a single transaction I assumed the easyJet refund would include the return leg - how naive ! They've now sent me an e-mail changing the date of the return flight to 7/7 and, if we're not happy (which of course we're not - we won't be there), offering  the choice of 1. switching to another flight or 2. applying for a voucher.

Surely this is shap practice on their part. We can't switch flight and don't want the fag of applying for a voucher, especially having read some of the earlier posts here. Also vouchers can only be requested by phone - have been hanging on for 2hrs and 9 mins so far for a chance to register my displeasure :/

    Any advice gratefully received !

Never rule out incompetence rather than malice!  When cancelling one flight in a booking they are legally obliged to refund the entire ticket (unless you choose to accept alternatives) so they should still issue a full refund based on that alone, even if the return flight was still scheduled to operate at that stage, but cancelling the return flight also triggers separate refund rights for that one anyway....
  • I'm in the situation of my flight to majorca cancelled on 11th July, but my return flight is still going ahead on 21st July. There is no flights even available to get there, it seems the 21st is one of the first flights. Help I don't know my rights and can't find any contact details for easyjet.....dont want a voucher, just my money back!
