  • I have received an email to say that my flight has been cancelled and I've been offered a voucher or change flight dates or a refund. However, when I log in to mange my bookings and to go through the questions, which don't all apply to me and  to request refund or voucher it does not give the question to request a full refund. I would like to know if easyjet are actually giving a full refund or is it vouchers only? They say that they will be valid for 12 months but actually expire may 2021 (not 12 months on my calandar!)

Go to their website, not through the email or my booking, click on the link at the top of the page "Covid 19 Help Hub", click through the options as they apply to your flight and you should get to an item 3 headed "View my other options, click through that and you'll find a link to a "refund application form", keep going and good luck...
  • Hi, Easyjet cancelled my outbound flight last week and I applied for a refund through the website using the refund form. Now the return flight has also been cancelled, does anyone know if  I need to apply for a refund for that as well or will the refund request cover both flights as they are the same booking reference? Thanks
  • Here's a new one.
My flight to Amsterdam on 30th June was cancelled. I followed the instructions for a refund and got a confirmation to say they had received the request.
Out of nowhere 3 days later I got an email saying that "They were doing all they could to get customers to their destinations this summer, and they had moved my booking to a different flight"...on 5th July!
I went to the site and lo and behold, there it was, and I got another email asking me to check in!
So, of course, if you follow the refund application again, your flight hasn't been cancelled!
I can't begin to express how angry I am at such an underhand move.
I have emailed them and told them to issue the refund, without any more shenanigans...let's see what happens

I booked 4 tickets in December to spain with easyjet. The flight departs on 21st July. We dont want to travel due to the corona virus. Easyjet have emailed me 2 days ago and have said my flight has been cancelled, they have refunded me the £45.00 for the seats I have booked and changed my flight to the same day but different time. I am hoping this flight also gets cancelled. I know if the flight doesnt get cancelled I will loose my money except the goverment taxes. Does anybody know roughly how much the goverment taxes total on flights that cost £925.00. (Just trying to workout what my total loss will be) I requested a breakdown of the costs from easyjet but have heard absolutely nothing from them. Also the baggage costs were about £175.00, does anybody know if it's possible to cancel the baggage and get this money refunded if the flight is going to go ahead. Any feedback really appreciated.
There is a tax table link on this page:
Manetti Thanks for the link. The goverment charges are £13.00 per flight, hardly seems worth going through all the hassle to get £52.00 back.

I would be really angry as well, just shows how far easyjet will go to try and cheat their customers.I would contact your credit card company if you booked the flight with a credit card.

Has anybody received a refund in the last few days?  I'm just wondering what date they're up to & if they're anywhere near refunding my end of May flights.

We got an email from easyjet a few weeks ago offering a voucher for our flight due to peoples travel worries etc. There was no reference to flight cancellation or anything. We had until midnight tonight to respond. We replied at 6pm.
We have since found out through friends (about 10pm) that the flight is showing as cancelled on the easyjet app and on the ‘manage my booking’ part of the easyjet website. But they have not emailed us to inform us of this cancellation. Nor can we request a refund via the ‘manage my booking’ section. We do not know for how long this flight has been cancelled, obviously because we have not officially been made aware of that by easyjet.
I have since emailed them asking to retract our earlier email as we feel we have not been fully informed. This was done prior to the midnight deadline that was set and I assume the voucher request would not have been processed between 6pm and 11pm, when I sent the retracting email when I was fully aware of the facts.
I plan to phone them tomorrow.
Has anyone else faced this scenario? Surely I am still entitled to a refund or have I technically already accepted the voucher? I feel slightly cheated!
We got the same and as you we left it till the last possible moment to apply for a voucher by emailing them.  Lo and behold 2 days after the 'deadline' for applying for a voucher we get the cancellation email.  In my opinion this appears to be a sneaky and underhand way to get customers to apply for a voucher whilst they knew full well the flight would be cancelled.  The hope is people will opt for the voucher which means they do not need to refund!  I even spoke to someone before 'applying' for the voucher who assured me the flight was going ahead as planned.

Hi just a note of caution in case this helps anyone - we applied for a voucher rather than refund for cancelled flights in May. Voucher arrived today, for correct amount and including extra £5 each as a thankyou from Easyjet -- we found new flights for next year PROBLEM is that  voucher email  says we cannot use voucher on line , have to telephone customer service to book.. Guess what , customer services are busy , booking by telephone costs more than on line, and by the time we manage to get through the prices bound to increase. No benefit in the thankyou gesture of £5. If we knew we could not use voucher on line we would not have chosen that option.
