Has anybody at all actually had a refund from Easyjet?
I'm on day 34 waiting for a refund.
I've applied for a chargeback via my bank (NatWest) but they tell me it'll be 45 days before they pay me as they wait for the retailer to challenge it before repaying me.

I do think the CAA should force them to repay any outstanding refund requests before allowing them to fly again.

I'm on day 32 and still haven't got a refund. The card has since been closed (although not fully - as it currently has a positive balance from other holiday related refunds like airbnb etc - just waiting for the flight to refund then I'll get them to refund me the positive balance and fully close the card).  Similar to paddyandstumpy the card in question is a NatWest credit card and I've also tried my luck with the chargeback form even though it's closed, who knows it's worth a try.

I believe the consumer protection you receive is applicable from the date of the agreement/transaction. In other words, even if the card is closed your protection is not lost.

I have also been offered to change flight, but without them refunding, I cant get my holiday money back. I can't foresee the future, we already have next years holiday booked so this isn't helpful.
Ive been trying to rebook with no avail, just getting an error message and the phone line is off I think....!! Can't win either way!!

The websites getting a lot of traffic because of the hack for password changing.

It's also getting hit by people trying to change their flights so the whole thing cannot cope.

    Give it a few days

I had that issue when trying to swap my flight, new fights were double the price of the old ones.
I ended up phoning up, the person I spoke to say they needed authorization to change it from a manager (don't know if the difference in price was a factor).
Was authorized, and my flights changed.
New User name as MSE gave me a number in my old one.
    " I am not a number! I am a free man!"
