I originally had flights booked with easyjet for June costing £87, I saw that they are offering a free change of date and flight ....so I changed the June ticket for a flight in October cost £40. I am aware that easyjet do not give the Unused balance back, but I have just seen on my bank statement they have billed me for the new £40 price. So how is this a free change of booking? Or will they reimburse me with the £40 later? Totally confused, have emailed them, but from what I can gather it maybe weeks before I get any kind of reply
advice please
and I checked my online bank statement and a payment of £40 was taken out
so it seems they have my £87 for the first flight and now £40 for the change of dateSo it looks like I’ve paid for the new booking and no money taken off from the cancelled ticket0 -

It's a pity they didn't wait, or sort advice before re-booking.
New User name as MSE gave me a number in my old one.

A lot of threads popping up today from people bemused they have been refused a refund....because they have filled in the EU compo form by mistake.0

Does anyone one if you have to fill in a form if you've booked a package holiday with easyJet holidays?
I asked earlier but it seems most have only booked flight only and the email I got suggests I'll get a refund automatically but I am dubious!0 -
I don't think anyone has or will get a refund. I suspect EJ will announce they are ceasing trading within a month or two and then it's down to a S75 claim or ATOL if a package. I wager they are having major cash flow problems, now even more so given they will be facing a fine from the ICO over the data breach in January.
I'd love to see the letter to the ICO saying "we will pay our fine within 28 days but please don't contact us if we don't pay up, until it's day 90"0 -
have other people been refunded for flights in May yet? I cannot contact them by any means and the claim tracker has disappeared from my account? Can anyone else still access the claim tracker and provide a link please?0

This is a tricky one as the fact that airlines are not processing refunds in any kind of timely way means that people don’t have the money to book future flights even if they wanted to. Ditto it taking ages to process vouchers, I’m outstanding about £600 in vouchers with another airline and I would certainly have booked flights with them by now if the vouchers had come through!0

Now the airlines are up and running and aggressively trying to get us to book summer and autumn flights I just wanted to ask if these airlines or holiday companies are offering new terms and conditions on any flights or holidays booked now? I appreciate that when this pandemic broke airlines and holiday companies have had to re adjust to new circumstances and if you are making a booking now the companies can put in more up to date terms and clarify that if these new flights or holidays are cancelled you will get your refund within the 7 days or they even offer an open dated credit note.

Easyjet have just cancelled my flight for 6June. I assume that hey will be doing a mass cancellation up to at least 15 June following their announcement today.
