    Finally our holiday has been cancelled, was due to fly Saturday.
    Do package holidays work different to flight only? I thought you had to claim a refund but this below seems to imply it will be refunded automatically via original payment method.
    "You can rest assured that you’ll receive a full refund for your holiday back to the original payment method. Refunds will mirror the payment transactions you made and so the total amount may be refunded in a number of different transactions to your original method of payment. It’s possible that these may come through on different days"

    Anyone know??

    Sixth Anniversary 100 Posts Name Dropper
    Today (day 28 since submitting the refund request form online) I instructed my bank to process a chargeback using their online form against EJ.  One way or another I'm getting my money back - and will never fly with these clowns again.

    Out of interest did you receive the same email as me? was it a flight only or package?

    Saw a reference today to an acknowledgement from EasyJet after completion of the refund form.  I completed the form but took no copy (silly me!) so have no proof I submittted it, and did not receive an acknowledgement.  Could anyone please confirm that this should usually be expected?  Many thanks!

    I received an email confirming that they had got the refund form - obviously no money yet.
    Originally I had a bit of sympathy for EJ - not so much any more...........

    Flight only.  Copy and paste from my automated ackowledgement email (about 6 hours after I submitted the online refund form):

    Dear Customer,
    Thank you for contacting us and for submitting a refund request.
    We are working hard to process your request as quickly as possible. Due to the exceptionally high volumes currently being processed as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, we will try our best to complete your request within 28 days following submission. Please do not contact us regarding a previous request unless it has been more than 90 days since you made your original submission.
    Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

    ^^ this was received on 21/04/2020 at 16:38 (it was the afternoon of the morning I received my cancellation notification from easyJet - i.e. same day - I filled in the form within minutes of receiving the cancellation notification)

    Thanks for the help - we got an automatic response on 18.04.20 (when we submitted the claim for refund) which said ' Thank you for your enquiry.  We will be in touch soon.' This was automatic, but we've not had any email addressed to the booker of the flight.  It seems we sent it almost the same day as withaspritz, perhaps they 'refined' the message in those few days.  Likewise we have heard nothing since - 90 days would take us to mid-July.

    Odd, totally different to mine that is, I can only assume it's because yours is flight only.
  • As a matter of interest what would happen a refund if you cancelled the credit card that you used to pay for a flight.

    i was thinking of cancelling my card after learning of the EJ hack but haven't as I thought it might #&*! up the refund
