Finally our holiday has been cancelled, was due to fly Saturday.
Do package holidays work different to flight only? I thought you had to claim a refund but this below seems to imply it will be refunded automatically via original payment method.
"You can rest assured that you’ll receive a full refund for your holiday back to the original payment method. Refunds will mirror the payment transactions you made and so the total amount may be refunded in a number of different transactions to your original method of payment. It’s possible that these may come through on different days"

Today (day 28 since submitting the refund request form online) I instructed my bank to process a chargeback using their online form against EJ. One way or another I'm getting my money back - and will never fly with these clowns again.0

Saw a reference today to an acknowledgement from EasyJet after completion of the refund form. I completed the form but took no copy (silly me!) so have no proof I submittted it, and did not receive an acknowledgement. Could anyone please confirm that this should usually be expected? Many thanks!

I received an email confirming that they had got the refund form - obviously no money yet.
Originally I had a bit of sympathy for EJ - not so much any more...........0 -

Thanks for the help - we got an automatic response on 18.04.20 (when we submitted the claim for refund) which said ' Thank you for your enquiry. We will be in touch soon.' This was automatic, but we've not had any email addressed to the booker of the flight. It seems we sent it almost the same day as withaspritz, perhaps they 'refined' the message in those few days. Likewise we have heard nothing since - 90 days would take us to mid-July.

As a matter of interest what would happen a refund if you cancelled the credit card that you used to pay for a flight.
i was thinking of cancelling my card after learning of the EJ hack but haven't as I thought it might #&*! up the refund0
