Has anyone reported actually receiving a refund from EasyJet yet?  It’s over 28 days since I completed the refund form and they haven’t refunded so I’ve now made a Section 75 claim to the credit card company.

I dont know why people are booking flights with EasyJet when they appear to be unable to pay their debts!

As a matter of interest what would happen a refund if you cancelled the credit card that you used to pay for a flight.

i was thinking of cancelling my card after learning of the EJ hack but haven't as I thought it might #&*! up the refund
You contact the credit card company and get them to pay it into your bank
New User name as MSE gave me a number in my old one.

The hack only gained access to 9 million email addresses & itineraries and less than 2,500 credit card details.

When you consider that they had 96 million customers last year alone, the odds of the hackers having your info are quite low so no need to cancel credit cards yet.

Yeah I wouldn't cancel it, just keep an eye. Hubby had a call from our card company last week, 2 attempted transactions for over a grand. We now have a new card

Fortunately I paid on a card that I use very very rarely so any transaction would automatically be flagged up.

same with the email address used - only set up for this trip so again anything weird would be flagged up.
  • hi  Im a newbie to this forum so please forgive me if this question has been done too death. I originally had flights booked with easyjet for June costing £87, I saw that they are offering a free change of date and flight ....so I changed the June ticket for a flight in October cost £40. I am aware that easyjet do not give the Unused balance back, but I have just seen on my bank statement they have billed me for the new £40 price. So how is this a free change of booking? Or will they reimburse me with the £40 later?   Totally confused, have emailed them, but from what I can gather it maybe weeks before I get any kind of reply
    advice please

we changed ours and there was an extra £300 difference, the email confirming changed flights still had the old amount paid. There should not be any extra amount added. Was this the email after they cancelled?

Not to my knowledge. I'm on day 29 today of their "28-day interpretation of the law" (CAA still state 7 days for a refund legal max)

I have had flights cancelled by Easyjet and decided to request a voucher instead of re-booking but the voucher is £50 less than I paid.  Have emailed a query but wondered if anybody new why?

I had an email from Easy Jet to choose one of 3 options. Refund. Change dates. Vouchers. I opted for voucher but whatever I did to try and process this online - it would not work!
The cut off date was yesterday. I could not get through on the phone so as soon as lines opened today - at 08.00am - I called and amazingly got through - first the lady I spoke to said to call the number on the email - I explained she was the number on the email! Then she said the offer was no longer available - despite my protests at not being able to process online
    Nightmare.
