Easyjet's covid-19 refund request form is at https://www.easyjet.com/en/refund-form.
whilst they do their utmost to encourage you to take a voucher, the refund form was quick and easy to complete.  I received instant confirmation that it had been received.
I filled in that form 27 days ago and have yet to receive my money :pensive: here's hoping for today or tomorrow otherwise I'm going to my card for a section 75 claim
I filled the form out 29 days ago now, I've just raised a chargeback with my bank (natwest), who say it could be another 45 days before they review the case!
Now it's a race, who will refund me first...
Did you ask what needs to be reviewed? seems a very long time for a Chargeback

New User name as MSE gave me a number in my old one.

Is there a time limit for credit card companies to refund?
Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!

No,  there is no set time limit, but if you feel it's taking too long then if you make a complaint they have 8 weeks to deal with that complaint.
A retailer has 45 to challenge a Chargeback,  so it you add another 45 days for the Natwest to raise it,  that's 3 months!

  • I have flights booked for the 2nd July to Belfast which have not yet been cancelled by EasyJet, however my hotel is telling me that they will not be reopening until the 4th July at the very earliest and that I should cancel my booking. Does anybody know if I will be eligible for a flight refund, or anyone else in a similar situation? I've been unsuccessful in trying to get through on the phone to easyjet?

You can change it online to another flight right now but to get cash you will have to wait until they cancel it. Which, being a domestic route, isnt a guarantee.

If you booked flight and hotel separately and hotel was cancelled  that doesn't give you the right for the flight to be refunded.

    Afternoon!
Has anyone changed an expensive cancelled flight and booked 2 different cheaper flights?  I have return Barcelona flights and they are worth £700 (we booked late and it was half term).  We are due to go to Cyprus and Rome in June 2021 and wondered if the 2021 flights were cheaper, would we be able to use the voucher to book both flights or are you only able to book one (then lose the rest of the money)?
This was so much easier explaining it in my head, sorry!
    Thanks

  • Hi all, so i asked for a refund on 12th March and still have not received my money back. There is literally no way to contact easyJet, unlike Ryanair who still have their chat open and are contactable. Should i just do a chargeback with the credit card i used?
