Patiently waiting for my 31/5 to be cancelled but I noticed yesterday that the flight is now done as sold out where as previously, there appeared to be plenty of seats available.

is this a good sign that it will be cancelled?

also, does anyone know the t&cs of the voucher being offered to people whose flight is yet to be cancelled? Do you have to book & fly within 6 months or can you just book within 6 months but fly later? I'd chance it if it was the later as I booked my flight last September.
It's a sign it will be canclelled
Once it's cancelled I believe you can swap to any flight within the next year if you want.
Not sure how the voucher works.
We have done this, admittedly without voucher. Swapped to same destination but price was £300 more expensive
Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!

Did you do it before flight was actually cancelled?

Easyjet have been allowing free changes even before they cancel it, but you still have to pay the difference in fare. I moved flights from April to December and they wanted an extra £20.

You don't have to pay any difference once it's been cancelled,  you can select any flight you want,  even over Christmas
(it's a very good way of getting a cheap flight  for that time)

  • Hi folks, just asking again if anyone has had any experience with the 'Worldwide' Dohop options when booking through flights via Gatwick? Has anyone managed to get a refund of the costs of the Dohop section as well as the flights when they are all cancelled? Many thanks for any advice... David

We got an email about 10 days before they cancelled, allowing any changes we wanted.. you had to email them though for your change. After the cancellation, we could do online

This is a copy of the email we received about a month before our holiday was cancelled:

Dear Mr Hyde, we love travel and the lasting memories created on holidays with friends, family, or even some time away alone. Right now, splashing round the pool, romantic sundowners, and exploring Europe’s old towns, all seem a long way away.

Going on holiday might be the last thing on your mind, and as a result, we know the trip you originally booked to Split may no longer be the right one for you.

To help with this, we’ve now made it possible for you to amend your holiday online with no fees! Better still, choose a more expensive holiday or upgrade your holiday and we’ll give you 10% off the value of your new holiday. This saving will apply automatically when you reach the checkout page. This offer ends at 23:59 on 14 April 2020Terms and conditions apply

You’ll need to have paid the full balance of your booking to do this, and you’ll need to pay any increase in price for your new holiday if there is one. If your new holiday is cheaper than your current one, unfortunately we won’t be able to issue you with a refund, so make the most of the available upgrades when choosing your new trip!

To get started, log in to your account and view your booking.

I ignored this and waited for them to cancel the holiday, after which I filled in their online form and thankfully they refunded us in full, with no further problem.

Still waiting on my refund from the form. i completed it 19/04, now it's just a waiting game.
I did get an acknowledgment email pretty quick though, it says:

    Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting us and for submitting a refund request.

We are working hard to process your request as quickly as possible. Due to the exceptionally high volumes currently being processed as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, we will try our best to complete your request within 28 days following submission. Please do not contact us regarding a previous request unless it has been more than 90 days since you made your original submission.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

    Kind regards,

    easyJet Customer Services

Yes, we received a full refund from EasyJet within fourteen days after filling in the online form.

I was a bit surprised that they actually managed it without my having to chase them at all; however, full kudos to them for dealing with it so promptly.  :)
