Easyjet cancellations and refunds

We have a flight + car rental booked with Easy Jet for July - does anyone know whether there are cancellation fees if we cancel the car booking? Their terms & conditions send you round in circles and aren't clear. Scared to hit "cancel car reservation" without knowing as it was a very expensive family car rental booking, and can't get through to anyone at Europcar either?!?0

Have you tried sending them a message on Twitter, I have really good results going down that routepauldennisturner said:and can't get through to anyone at Europcar either?!?Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0 -
Has anyone managed to get a refund from EJ using their "28 days" online form? I raised a request and it will be 28 days on Tuesday next week.. but nothing yet. I tried their numbers (the 365 5000 and 365 5454) at 8am on the dot (hence sending message now) and it just goes straight through to the now infamous "before we let you go" pre-hangup message.0

Did you receive a confirmation of submission email with the same wording as mine:withaspritz said:Has anyone managed to get a refund from EJ using their "28 days" online form? "...we will try our best to complete your request within 28 days following submission. Please do not contact us regarding a previous request unless it has been more than 90 days since you made your original submission".
Your post suggests that it won't have been 28 days until Tuesday 19th May. If so, I wouldn't be trying to contact them yet.0 -
Yes indeed I did - the outbound flight was cancelled on 21st April so I immediately raised the form, and then got that confirmation later on the same day (a few hours after raising the form). I was testing the water to see if I could get through if needed - but it seems even at 8am they cut you off rather than let you hold (tried about 20 times and all ended up with me being told to call back later then cut off)manetti said:

I raised a form on the 19th April, when I had confirmation from them my flight on the 26th April was cancelled.withaspritz said:Has anyone managed to get a refund from EJ using their "28 days" online form? My 28 days is up this Sunday. If I don't have it by close of banking on Monday, I'll raise a charge back. I can't see it being disputed, they would only dispute it to then give me my money back at a later stage anyway!0 -
I'd love to do that, but unfortunately I closed the credit card account after buying these flights but before coronavirus took hold, so chargeback isn't an option. Luckily the bank didn't properly close the account, so it can still accept refunds, as my accommodation has already been refunded back into a positive balance on the closed card, only the flights are outstanding then I will close the account properly and get the positive balance credited backpaddyandstumpy said:

Section 75 is fantastic protection – if you order something and the retailer goes kaput, you can still claim your money back from the credit card provider (even if you've since closed your credit card account). - this is from MSE, I imagine you can still go to credit card companywithaspritz said:

Worth a try, from day 29 I reckon. However if EJ do eventually refund me that might lead me into further complications if the positive balance has been withdrawn and the account fully fully closed, if I then end up owing the S75 refund back to the bank?northwest1965 said:

I may have missed it, but has anyone got any experience of Easyjet UK Domestic Cancellations and procedures ?
I have flights booked from Edinburgh to Birmingham and back in about three weeks time - guessing they won't be running (or flying).
Wonder if domestic customers will be able to rebook to go anywhere at a later date - that could be a bonus as the flights only cost about £50 return !!!
Ironically I rebooked on easyjet when Flybe went bust !!0
