I'm wondering when EJ will finally accept the inevitable and start cancelling May ½ Term flights?  This week they have been cancelling flights daily with two weeks notice - but then stopped so nothing has been cancelled for Friday 22nd or beyond.
Like probably lots of their other customers we have separate bookings for flights, apartment, car hire, airporat parking and so on - but the flights are by far the most expensive part of the holiday.  The uncertainty caused by not cancelling yet causes loads of problems in arranging other things, and compares poorly with other airlines like Jet2 who cancelled all their flights to mid-June in April, giving their customers certainty and ability to plan.  Very frustrating!

I am due to fly out to Mykonos on 16th May but heard nothing yet. Most people are getting e-mails 7 to 14 days before, to say cancelled.
Do they expect me to go to the airport to find out, to avoid a 'no show' ?
    Any help or advice?

Log on to your EJ account  it should show it's cancelled and you can request a cash refund via a form,  or take vouchers,  or swap your flight to a different date (if you are taking about a flight only.)

It is a holiday, do they treat that differently?

If it's a package holiday ( all one payment)  then you will get a refund from the company you  booked it with, and different rules than just a flight only.

Well, I can hardly believe it (cynical old me!  ;) ) but EasyJet have refunded the full amount for our holiday on our credit card, within fourteen days ( the time frame they advised us) without my having to chase them for it.

I filled in their online form and hey presto...... it worked!!

Credit where it's due, it really has been hassle free from them.
You seem to be the only one who has got a refund from the online form and I'm wondering if there was something different about your case. The online process and confirmation email say 28 days and has been that way from the start. How come yours said 14?

I got the following in an email from EJ
Bookings transferred or issued with vouchers will not be eligible for a refund in the event of flight cancellation.”
Does that mean that if I move my flight and then they cancel it again I won’t be eligible for any refunds? Seems silly to rebook but don’t want to take the risk if it means I lose everything

just received an email from easyjet saying
    EU261 Compensation Claim Assessment

    Claim received: K13CX58-1971-001
    Flight Number: 1971
    Flight Date: 25/03/2020
    Scheduled Departure Airport: MAN
    Scheduled Arrival Airport: ACE
    Claim decision: Declined
Decision summary: We're sorry that your flight was cancelled. Our assessment and legal team has carefully reviewed your claim and the circumstances around your flight and have confirmed that your compensation claim is not eligible for compensation payment under EU Regulation EU261/2004.

It then goes on to say basically the  virus is not a reason for a refund???

    Is this  correct?

    many thanks

That isn't claiming a refund, that's claiming compensation that no airline is paying out.
