If you booked a holiday in August  you don't know what the advice will be then, as it can change.

New User name as MSE gave me a number in my old one.

Well, I can hardly believe it (cynical old me!  ;) ) but EasyJet have refunded the full amount for our holiday on our credit card, within fourteen days ( the time frame they advised us) without my having to chase them for it.

I filled in their online form and hey presto...... it worked!!

Credit where it's due, it really has been hassle free from them.
A cunning plan, Baldrick? Whatever it was, it's got to be better than pretending to be mad; after all, who'd notice another mad person around here?.......Edmund Blackadder.

We booked a return flight to Kefalonia. EasyJet have cancelled the outgoing flight but the return flight is still operational. I would imagine as it's late May that this will also be cancelled. However, what would happen if it is operational?

EasyJet have cancelled the outgoing flight (have asked for a refund) but the incoming is still operational. What happens if this doesn't get cancelled?

if they cancel a flight they will also refund any other flights on the same booking....the cancellation email should have stated this
this is what I received in same situation (all be it that was at the start of this)
"We are very sorry your flight has been cancelled. Please choose a free flight change to another flight, or a full refund of the cost of your flight and any directly related un-flown sectors within the same booking."

Do you have to wait till you get the cancellation email in order to fill out the online form?

I have another question, if you take advantage of the change flight for free anytime, any destination, do you have to pay "again" for luggage that you paid for on original flight?

  • Hi All,

As reported, EasyJet have waived the change fee on all flights meaning if you want to change your flight there will be no extra cost (other than the difference in the fare). Is anyone aware of any other charges you will have to pay? It seems impossible to change a flight for ‘free’ even if the cost of the fare is the same or less.

I have a flight booked with EasyJet to Faro, Portugal for a wedding on 11th - 15th June (total cost £143.48pp). The wedding has now been moved to 5th October, as stated online there is no change fee but I’ve found I’m being charged atleast £53pp one way (cheapest) extra to change dates to October. Using the EasyJet app to search for a new booking with the same dates in October, flights are shown at £143.98pp (£0.50 extra per person).

Are EasyJet taking full advantage of the situation here and trying to pull a fast one or are there other costs included that aren’t mentioned or have I missed something?

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Dai

  • Hi folks, we have trips planned for begining of July through Easyjet and the Dohop facility (Worlwide by Easyjet) from Inverness via Gatwick and onto Bordeaux. If Easyjet do cancel our flights does anyone have any experience so far with similar situations and Dohop 'insurance' kicking in for any cancellations, and if so any tips/advice you can offer , did you get compensation/refunds? Also has anyone been refunded  for the Dohop costs if their flights were cancelled, as I see in the Dohop T&C's state that fees are none refundable??
    Thanks for any advice!
    David
